    They keep losing claims ask to resubmit claims . They wanted me to submit my death certificate MY DEATH CERTIFICATE !!! Again

    Terrible company with horrible customer service. I waited 46 minutes for an agent to talk with, then when I asked to speak with a supervisor she put me back into the que for calls and i waited another 1hr and 4 minutes to talk with another agent. LONG CALL WAITS ARE IN MY EXPERIENCE STANDARD. IT TAKES 2-3 HRS FOR THEM TO CALL BACK WHEN YOU TELL THEM YOU WANT A CALL BACK IN THE ORDER SB received them, if they even call you back. They also lie! I was told I would get a call back from manager "Caroline." As of this writing that never occurred. Called the Florida Dept. of Finance who oversees these jokers and they were just as lame. No one is looking out for your interest, while this company makes millions and does NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! Patrons beware of this company's poor business practices. SECURITY BENEFIT SUCKS!!!!!

    This is the worst financial institution that I have ever done business with. Imagine the following: * Over the years 2022-2024, my investment was pegged to an index fund that actually lost 8% in the stock market. During that same period, the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 28% to its value. * Security Benefit buried in over 100 pages of legalese that unless I specifically requested that the funds be moved, they would automatically reenroll me in the fund for an additional two years. * Security Benefit neither inquired as to my desire to have the funds reenrolled nor alerted me that the funds would be reenrolled on the date of maturity. * The only way that I can prevent my funds from being idle for another two years is to surrender nearly $10,000. * This is theft, pure and simple. The fact that they hide it under mountains of legalese makes them no less contemptable. Stay very far away from this company. They will find some way to take your money from you.

    Horrible company. They refuse to pay me money that I worked for and saved. Charges are outrageous, and as far as I can tell, interest is close to non existent. I see lots of class action law suits currently. I’m contacting every attorney affiliated with a CA lawsuit, as soon as I finish this, and throw my hat in the ring with them. If we stand by and allow this to continue, it will never change. My wishes will be passed on to my family, so if I die, this ignorant company will have no reason to let them not have what is left, if they don’t manage to take it all. Wish I could give zero stars. That’s what they deserve. Do not let your financial person use this entity. Everything will eventually come out. Let’s ROLL!

    Absolutely the worse company! My mother passed away 2/14/24 Security Benefit of Topeka Kansas contacted me 2 months ago. I called them for instructions and followed them to a T. After not hearing back a week later I called again . I was told one page was missing, so I emailed this supposed missing page email. I was told funds would be electronically transferred in two days. Nothing ! I called back a week later and told it would be 1-2 weeks …Nothing ! called back again and was told 1-2 days ! Still Nothung ! Called back a week later and told we needed to send this or that in — Security Benefit was told all has been sent in. All proper paperwork sent . The. Told another 2 weeks !!! So what is the truth ??? Why is Security Benefit holding onto my deceased mother’s IRA ??! I need help ! I need someone to tell them to do their job !! I filled out the paperwork and emailed back as instructed. Security Benefit of Topeka Kansas needs to do their job ! My mother died 4 months ago and they are not paying out her Ira as I INSTRUCTED by my deceased mother !

    Under no circumstances should you do business with this company. I (and 9 other individuals) were designated as beneficiaries of a deceased friend's Security Benefit's annuity policy. Since his passing on 1/1/24, we have been struggling with the company to receive a disbursement of our claims, and have been repeatedly delayed and stonewalled, despite having submitted all required documents in a timely manner. We are now being told that no claims will be processed until all claims are ready, although none of us are in fact related or hold any legal or financial connection with each other other than all being friends of the deceased. This is indeed one of those insurance companies of which horror stories are told, and which one hopes to never have to deal with--namely, one that delights in delaying legally-due payouts for no reason other than pure venality and corruption. Again: let the buyer beware!

    If I could give a zero star I would. My uncle passed away over a year ago. I was the beneficiary for the inherited IRA. I am required by law to take out a certain amount each year before 10 years. I was supposed to get the rest of what had not been paid paid our to him before his death by December. December came and went and I never got a dime and not a statement. I finally called the person handling the account and it was sign more paperwork...I have now signed more than 3 different documents to just get the amount I was required to take last year..It is now April 2024 and these people finally pay, but charge "surrender" charges. Which makes no sense as they were required to give it to me. I still haven't been paid the necessary money that I'm supposed to be taking this year...even though it was set up last March to start January 2024. They keep needing more paperwork. It seems from all these reviews other people are having difficulty getting what is rightfully owed to them as well. I'm surprised a class action lawsuit hasn't started already. I would never do business with these people..ever.
