I was hesitant to send some knives I’ve had for over 40 years. As a retired Navy EOD Tech, these things symbolized the tool of the trade as far as diving went. Don handled everything professionally and I had a great experience.

5 starsI am Jim F*****, currently living in Madbury, NH. While stationed at Lajes Field in the Azores, I had the opportunity to purchase 2 diving helmets that had been used by hard-hat divers maintaining the transoceanic cables that were routed through the Island of Faial. I obtained the helmets after the booster station closed in 1969. The helmets had a great deal of sentimental value to me, but when my wife of 54 years had to be placed in a long-term nursing facility, I was forced with an immediate downsizing. Via an Internet search, I was fortunate to find Don C******** of the Nation's Attic, a long time and extremely knowledgeable dealer in diving helmets. He sent me a contract, that I, as a retired attorney, considered to be very fair for both the seller (me) and the consignee (Don C********). Don adhered strictly to the terms of the contract, provided an accurate assessment of the 2 helmets, and sold them promptly to collectors interested in such artifacts--and promptly remitted the resulting sales monies (less his agreed commission) to me. It was refreshing to deal with such an honest person, and I comment Don and his Nation's Attic to anyone considering selling or purchasing authentic diving helmets. Jim F*****, ******** **
