    I dropped my truck off at American Tires on Monday May 31st to get tires put on. I spoke with a salesman on Saturday May 28th and we talked about having the American Tire team evaluate the status of my tires to determine if I needed 2 new tires or 4 new tires. We talked about ****** brand tires that were the more expensive option to match what I already had. The salesman suggested that I go with *********** Tires as he suggested that they were a better cheaper option and were just as good of a tire. He stated that ****** Tires owns *********** Tires. I was told to bring my truck in and the crew would take a look at everything and someone would get with me on Tuesday (After Memorial Day) to let me know how many tires I needed and to talk final pricing on the tire options. This did not happen. I received a text message on Wednesday June 2nd 2022 stating that my truck was ready to be picked up and the work was complete. There was never a phone call to discuss anything or to confirm what work/type of tire I wanted. American Tire replaced all 4 tires and went with the most expensive option. After speaking with the office people about this problem I was told my old tires were already gone and that I simply had to pay for the services that were performed. I usually would never file a complaint like this but I know there are other options to solving this issue. All of this would have been taken care of if I would have just received the phone call I was promised to confirm what type of work was needed.

    In response to your complaint to the BBB....

    On June 3rd you spoke with the owner's son.  After hearing your side of the story he felt that your biggest complaint was the way the situation was handled or the lack thereof.  He agreed that you should have received a phone call, as do I.  He deducted $60 from your total bill.  He also committed to still honor your free rotation and balance for as long as you own these tires.  I would like to sincerely apologize for the way this situation was handled both during and after your tire installation.  We as a team hope that you feel we reasonably resolved this issue and that we will continue to receive your business in the future.
