This site is a complete scam. They'll charge you with no refund options, just for verification. After charging you, they have hidden fees. It's a deceptive system and a scam.

05/1/25 I went to *****************, I entered the information of the phone I am trying to unlock. I entered that it is an *** phone. It said I could get it unlocked in less than 5 minutes. I had to put the IMEI number and that the carrier of the phone was *** I paid $28.99 to get it unlocked. But when I paid that it sent me a receipt saying it Eligibility Check for iPhone 12, which is not what the page said when I paid, then it asked for $50 more dollars. I did not pay that $50, that is when I was like this is a scam, and I could not find a way to contact them.

They guaranteed quick unlock code for a cell phone for $25.48 dollar then turn out to be a check on your phone and they requested an additional $108.12 for the code. Saying you'd have the code within 3 days after more than a week I try to cancel and get a refund and was told a refund wasn't possible and I just need to wait.

On 4/17/25, I submitted for an unlocking request to DirectUnlocks based in UK via online and paid them $24.99 for the service. After a short while on 4/17/25, I received another email that my phone was ready to be unlocked but needed to process another payment for $54.00 to continue with the standard unlock service. I proceeded with payment and two days later (4/19/25), I received another email that the standard process could not be completed but they offered a "premium service" for $96 more (totaling $174.99) and fully guaranteed to work on their premium service or a refund would be given. Well, it has been over two weeks and the unlocking request has yet to process. I am filing a dispute with my credit card and DirectUnlocks (business) will only apply a $174.99 store credit which is not acceptable means since the service was guaranteed or money back. I have reached out to their support and they keep saying it is on a final push to no avail. I am seeking a full refund back to my credit card for the amount of $174.99 total for a service that was deceptive and not received.

I was charged $24.99 to unlock a mobile phone and then the website advised I need to pay another $87 to complete the unlock. I requested a $24.99 refund and not refunded. My phone was not unlocked.

On march 22 I paid 54 dollars to have an iPhone unlocked. Was told that it didn’t work. On April 7 I received an email from this company saying that my iPhone was eligible for premium service and that it was 100% guaranteed to work or I would be getting my money refunded back to my card. I paid for the service and was then informed that it didn’t work. Now they’re trying to get additional money from me and will not refund my money back that they guaranteed was going to work

On April 18, 2025 I ran my IMEI number with Direct Unlock to aee if my phone was eligible to be unlocked and it said yes and it would cost me $15 all together. I paid the $15 then it came back and said it needed $50 to unlock my phone that the $15 was just to see if my phonenwas eligible yet that was free and was done before I paid the $15 supposedly. I did some research after and found they do this to more than half their customers. IT IS A SCAM AND NOBODY SHOULD PAY THEM A DIME. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!

On April 7–8, 2025, I paid a total of $174.99 to DirectUnlocks for their iPhone unlocking service: • $28.99 for an eligibility check • $50.00 for a standard unlock • $96.00 for a premium unlock (claimed to be “100% guaranteed”) After several days, I was told my unlock was 99% complete. Then, I was suddenly informed that the unlock failed and now required an additional $247 for a “higher tier” service — which was never mentioned upfront. I was issued a credit note for the $96 premium fee, but I explicitly requested a full refund to my card, which was ignored. I also received an unsolicited $10 refund after posting a public review — likely as an attempt to silence negative feedback rather than address the issue. All support messages I received were generic, repetitive, and did not resolve anything. This feels like a bait-and-switch operation, where payments are collected step by step without a real outcome. I am requesting a full refund of $174.99 back to my original payment method. The service was not delivered as promised.
