This complaint is with the ********* office of First Fidelity Guarantee only. No advance notice of appointment cancellation for December 2, 2022. Showed up at address given and no one in foyer and First Fidelity Guarantee not listed on signage, and nobody at receptionist desk. Called telephone number and got someone at remote location. Never received a promised call back. A receptionist finally showed up and I was told I should have received a text of appointment cancellation. Did receive a text a couple hours prior that alluded to an appointment a week later on December 9. Confused, I called and whomever I spoke with said December 1 appointment was still a go. So I showed up. I canceled December 9 appointment. First Fidelity is either a fraud or very loosely run.

      Business Response

      Date: 12/19/2022

After further research we have found the following information on ******** ********* concerns.

Unfortunately the week of November 28th, 2022 - December 2, 2022 many of our support staff and advisors were unavailable due to RSV, Covid, Flu, and many other viruses floating around. As a result, we were short staffed due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control which was noted in your cancellation notification. We do not and will not put any of our clients at risk for catching any cold or virus from anyone at our company. It’s our policy that if any of our support staff or advisors are sick we do not take any chances and they are required to clock out and go home until they are feeling better.

You did receive ample notice of your appointment cancellation, as there was an email sent to ************************** and a text message sent to ###-###-#### with explanation of the cancellation several hours before your appointment on December 2, 2022. It's unfortunate if you did not read it thoroughly before your original scheduled appointment.

You were offered a rescheduled appointment but you refused the rescheduled appointment via email address ************************** . When you booked your appointment you were advised to provide your correct email and cellphone number for any updates pertaining to your appointment. Nobody from our team reconfirmed your 1:00 pm appointment on December 2, 2022. So we are not sure of who you talked to. As you were told by support staff once you arrived at the office, we sent you a cancellation notice via text message at ###-###-#### and emailed at ************************** with an offer to reschedule well before your appointment, which it's up to you to read it.

Prior to your appointment you had been given full and direct instructions mailed to your address at ******** ******* * ******* **** ********** ** *****, as to how we do business and how to locate our offices. We see many clients weekly who can follow the simple instructions we send out to them. We do not allow walk-ins and only take private client appointments so our signage is not important if you follow the instructions mailed, emailed and texted to you. It is your responsibility to provide correct contact information.

You may be upset that your appointment was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances but we do not see this as a valid “complaint”. This could be considered a gripe or an inconvenience maybe but definitely not a valid “complaint.” As far as your “desired settlement” request,  If you had kept your rescheduled appointment or called to reschedule your appointment on another day then we would have no problem working with you. Unfortunately, we will not offer again to reschedule your appointment as we are very busy with serious investors who actually have money to invest. We do not take kindly to this so-called “complaint,” so at this time we reserve the right to decline any business with you in the future. Your local bank or financial institution in Frankfort Kentucky would be a better choice for your investments and hopefully they can match or exceed the interest available through our offices. We wish you the best of luck.

      Customer Answer

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

      Regards,

      ******** *******

There  were so many inaccuracies in their response that I don’t know where to begin to refute.  The company stated they would refuse my business in the future.  I canceled the later appointment because I did not wish to do business with a company that was run so shoddily. The only reason I complained to the BBB is First Fidelity had the BBB logo on their ad in the ********* Herald. Nothing in First Fidelity’s response to my complaint has convinced me to do business with them.
