    The ** ********* **** sent them a request for an appointment. They never called, after 10 days the ** ********* **** called and said the provider was unable to contact us, which is a lie. We called the provider, the lady was nice and scheduled an appointment, she stated the ** wanted an initial exam and cleaning, my wife explain that no we were coming in to have 2 teeth extracted. The lady said she would contact the ** and get approval. and if she was unable to get approval she would call us back. We never heard back, so we showed up for my appointment, driving 90 miles round trip, only to find out they were only doing an exam and cleaning. This place has very poor customer service and fails to follow through.

    Let me first state that our dental practice has been in business for 32 years and we have never had one complaint to the BBB prior to this. We always strive to meet our patients concems and needs. We joined the VA to provide dental care to the veterans who served our country. 

    In this case, we feel the ** was at fault through their lack of response after repeated attempts from our office to get clarification. Our staff was going to try to send over an order while patient was in chair to get approval. We have done this in the past. There is no way we could get approval prior to seeing patient and the person who scheduled was made aware. We told them We would try, that was it. 

    !f the patient would have given us time to explain - he would of realized Dr. Blincoe was going to remove the teeth for him. Patient didn't give the doctor a chance to talk. 

    The ** has already agreed to reimburse *** ****** for his expenses for gas. 

    We also have documentation that the veteran was called on 5/31/22 and we left a message to get an appointment scheduled. 

    We are sorry for any confusion and that the patient was unhappy.
