On May 15, 2024, I took my dog ***** to daycare at Tin Woof Inn. I was running late for pickup and arrived approximately 10 minutes past closing time. I assumed someone would still be there when I arrived, being just a few minutes late, but the facility had closed with my dog inside. I repeatedly knocked on the door and left two messages that were never returned. I even asked an employee driving out of the parking lot for assistance, but being new, she refused to help. Unsure whether ***** would be fed or properly tended to (I had not brought food for the day), I found an unlocked garage door inside the gate and entered the kennel. As I freed ***** from his crate, an employee accused me of breaking and entering and demanded I wait for a manager. She threated to call the police and informed me I was no longer welcome as a customer. I promptly took my dog and left. I acknowledge I shouldn't have been late, but I was never verbally informed that a late pickup would result in my dog being locked inside for the night. This policy also is not stated on their website. I figured Tin Woof Inn would at least call to check on my ETA before closing. Tin Woof Inn subsequently charged my card $51.94 for overnight boarding; additionally, I paid $190.80 that day for a six-day pass, of which I used one visit ($36.04) I would like to be refunded $206.70 for the unused visits and the overnight boarding charge. I have never been treated so rudely and unfairly by a business representative. I cannot believe the employee inside the facility ignored my repeated knocking and calls knowing I was probably the owner of the unclaimed dog. ***** is a six-month old puppy who has never been boarded overnight. I was understandably worried about his welfare, especially since I believed he was alone and untended. I hope you can help me resolve this matter. My husband has attempted to call Tin Woof Inn twice today but no one has returned his calls. Best, ******* *****
