About 3 weeks ago we took my car to Big O in Frankfort. I just wanted an oil change. Big O calls and says I need two new tires and an alignment. I knew I needed tires so I went ahead and got those. I didn’t notice an alignment issue but figured I would go ahead and get it done if they noticed an issue. $622 later I get my car back. I immediately notice it’s pulling to the right hard. I call and take it back a few days later. 2nd trip- Big O assures me that my issues are fixed. Things happen so I said thank you and I leave. The car is immediately pulling AGAIN and now there is a mysterious grinding noise. None of which was an issue before I took my car to Big O. 3rd trip- talked to a manager. Told him the whole story. He says he just took over the store and none of this surprises him. He assures me it’ll all be fixed. Manager calls and says they fixed the pulling but the noise is that my brakes are now metal on metal and they needed $400-500 to fix the issue…. I immediately tell them no and ask why they didn’t notice my brakes being “metal on metal” the first two times. No explanation of course. I go get my car & it’s pulling hard to the right STILL & has the grinding noise. I decided that I wouldn’t take my car back to Big O. I’ve filed complaints and all I’ve been offered so far is a free oil change. I definitely won’t be using that as they will never touch one of our vehicles again. Today- I take my car to a mechanic and they find that my brakes are fine and a dust shield was rubbing a rotor or something along those lines. The grinding noise is gone and they fixed the car pulling to the right. So I didn’t need $400-500 brakes. I definitely feel like Big O is scamming people out of money. It’s really unfortunate that a big company would take advantage of people and make their vehicles worse than when they entered their shop. Disappointed in the service at Big O and disappointed in the response from their management.
