    I was having issues with my MR Cool unit compressor. I contacted Mr Cool and related my problem. Within a week I received a total new outside unit.

    I bought a Versapro model INP MVP-30HP-AMUAH-230A00-0.
    Was easy to install only issue I had was ,the wiring instructions didn't really have a visual examples but that was taken care of with a quick call to support who responded and gave me the information i need. I would say this system is reliable and easy to install.

    NIGHTMARE Unfortunately I bot 3 mrcool systems 2 12k & 1 18k. I got a total of 7 months of use out of them 2 summers approximately. The 18k leaking from the head unit inside. Then one of the 12k units started leaking from the head unit inside. I had to get a tech in to write a service ticket $250. It took mr cool 4 months to ship the units and line sets in the fall. The tech would not warranty the work if he used mr cools line sets because they appear to be scrap copper soldered together with different thicknesses of copper. Cost me over 2k to have the two replacement units put in. The tech had to come out again for leaking valves on the 18k and 12k $600 for visit. No fix. Mr cool stopped making the parts for the AE MODELS and i am out of warranty. The 18k is leaking from the service valve and the 12k is leaking from the capillary valve and they stopped making the parts. Their customer service just gives you the runaround they deliberately delay the process they try to make you give up. I am currently dealing with their Customerservice now the manager’s there are also totally useless. dishes that playbook to delay delay delay and hopefully as a customer you’ll just go away. I thought I’d be saving money by buying a DIY unit or should I say units it’s not worth it because if you have a problem you can’t just come up and explain the problem to them. They want you to hire a technician and you have to pay for that technician and they are not cheap. I have two other units I should say four of the units two other manufacturers, Dankin and Mitsubishi They’re twice as old as my Mr Cool systems. I haven’t had a single problem with either of them for all the years that I’ve had them. And this summer Mr.Cool‘s third generation system in one of the rooms in my house is leaking on the inside. The technician I used only repairs Mr.Cool systems because he said he’s doing me a favor otherwise he wouldn’t touch the system cause he said they’re so poorly made. Just do your homework

    Our unit was under warranty and the futting that one of our lines hooked to, sheared off and bled the system. This drained the entire unit. You sent me a new fitting and one line. It as basically still empty of coolant, and will not work. One problem caused another problem and it wasn't resolved. I went with this company because it was supposed to have a great warranty if I did have any problems, which I did, and they weren't resolved. The local hvac company charges $600-750 to charge that unit, depending on how much coolant it needs. As a business owner, I stand behind my products, why can a big company like MRCOOL stand behind there. Very sad.

    I have installed a versa pro Central ducted 4ton system. I am so impressed at how quiet this system is and the way it works my lights don't dim when the system comes on it blows ice cold air. Yes I did hook up the thermostat wrong and it did start to blow hot air at least I know it does get hot. I'm not a professional. It took me sometime to install everything because I wanted to make sure it was right. The system turns on slow, which I love and gradually gets faster and faster. Which is great.
    You don't hear this big surge. You don't hear a bunch of noise outside or inside my electric meter has slowed down. it's not spinning a 100 miles an hour. I can't wait to see what my electric bills gonna be now.
    And it did take some time to install it. Because I wanted to make sure everything was right. I read every page a couple of times there are a couple of things that are confusing, but that's okay so I would stop come back.Read it again and figure it out my old system was 2 years old spent over $14000 to have it installed by train. My family and I were getting sick and when I ripped out the unit. I found out that they didn't finish taping the back of the duck work which was leaking and creating mold. The system cost me almost $5000.
    $200 for all electrical and plumbing. which needed to be changed. I am so happy. Do I recommend this? Yes, I do. Was it frustrating? Yes, a little bit but man. I am so happy with this system and I did it myself. Thank you.

    Would not recommend any one to buy this product they do not stand behind their product I bought a 12k unit and it did not work the motherboard went out and I had to replace it on my own and that one went out and they told me it was not wired right I sent them videos of how it was wired and they told me it wasn’t connected I have two other ones and they work fine long story short you can buy a charger one online and they work just fine they did not help me with noting

The unit you purchased is a 115V model; however, based on the photos you provided to our in-house technicians, the system was wired to a 230V power source. Unfortunately, damage resulting from incorrect installation is not covered under the terms of your warranty.


    Our technicians have provided you with the correct replacement part number, along with suggestions on where it can be purchased.

    While some MRCOOL units are designed for DIY installation, we strongly recommend that all electrical connections be performed by a qualified electrician, as outlined in the Installation & Owner’s Manual. This ensures both safety and proper operation of your system.
