    Tow truck driver rip plastic trim piece down bottom of front bumper on passenger side corner when unloading vehicle at dealership

    Business Response

    Date: 03/12/2025

    The customer (Mike H*****) rode with our driver after picking up his truck and trailer on HWY 71 on Sat. 3/1/25

    Mr. H*****, his truck, and trailer were taken to *** **** *****.

    We (Jude's) received an email from Tony at *** **** on 3/6/25 with attached photos of said damage.  This was the first Jude's heard this information. On 3/7, Jude's (Nicole) responded to Tony;

    that our driver stated he didn't do the damage.  The photo shows scratches and mud on the bumper and it's only on one side.

    It was picked up from the interstate where there was no mud present.  3/10- Jude's (Nicole) spoke to Tony and informed him Jude's isn't

    responsible for this damage and will not be covering the cost to repair.  3/11- Mr. H***** called upset with Jude's requesting an

    update.  We feel if we had done any damage it should and would have been addressed asap and not a week later.

    I took my van in for repairs on 02/28/2023, and they made the needed repairs. While it was in the shop I asked them for a price on fixing the air conditioning. The receptionist Nicole gave us a price of $309. Since we are on a limited income, I asked Nicole if that was that total price, as we didn't have a lot of extra money to spend on car repairs. I even instructed Nicole to check with the mechanic and confirm the price. Nicole guaranteed me that the air conditioning would be fixed for $309, as they already put dye in the hoses to test the pressure and look for leaks and there were no issues or leaks. I gave them approval to fix the air conditioning for the $309. After the repairs I picked up the car and the air conditioning worked while we were in the parking lot picking it up. However, it did not work after that. I contacted the auto repair again to inform them the air conditioning did not work and requested they fix it per the guarantee promised previously by Nicole. I returned the car within the week and they said it would cost another $349 to repair the air conditioning. I previously informed Nicole that I was on a fixed income so she knew I would not have paid $658 ($309 plus $349) for the air conditioning to be fixed so I have no doubt they quoted me a price knowing it wouldn't be fixed and I would be forced to bring it back in and they could charge me more money. They told us the additional $349 was because there were leaks in the hoses and we needed new hoses--although they previously told us there were no leaks in the hoses when they gave me the price of $309 to repair the air conditioning. I am very dissatisfied with their dishonest and manipulative business practices. In attaching the invoices you will see a difference in price because they said there was a certain price for paying with cash and another price for paying with a credit card.
