    I purchased new brake pads and rotors on the front and rear of my 2019 GMC Acadia from Don Franklin GMC in Lexington. The bill for the brakes was over $900 for the repair on 12/21/2022. I returned on 2/11/2023 to have a severe grinding noise when applying the brakes checked out. I went by the dealership for ***** to ride with me to hear this noise, in which he heard immediately, within feet of driving behind the dealership. I was told by the service advisor ***** that my rotors were badly rusted and that was the cause of my noise. I stated they were just installed by them not even 2 months prior. He then called me back stating they would spray the rotors with brake cleaner to try to resolve the noise, and had me pick up the vehicle. The issue was not resolved as the noise was still present when driving home from the dealership. After several unreturned calls from the service advisor *****, I finally got in touch with *****, stating I still had an issue with my brakes and felt it was getting worse. He stated that since this was my 3rd time reporting a concern, he needed to report it to the service manager and get her involved and return my call. After not hearing anything for about 5 weeks, I left voicemails for ***** and the service manager in which ***** finally called me back. During this first call, after a discussion with the service manager, I was told there is nothing they can do because everything was installed correctly. I stated my issue did not come from workmanship but inferior parts being installed that rusted prematurely. I explained my dissatisfaction with the response of the money that was spent. He stated he would get with the service manager again and call me back. He called back stated there was nothing they would do to help me, but offered to sell me new brakes again, but OE he said. I stated I just paid over $900 for OE brakes and he said I purchased lower grade OE not Premium, in which I wasn’t given a choice when asked. I since purchased new brakes at another shop and the noise is gone. I have the old parts and would just like to get the money I paid refunded. It was stated by the service manager through ***** that I could leave the vehicle for a week to let them look at it again. I stated that would be fine as long as I could get a loaner vehicle as I help cover 2 states for my job, I was told they won’t do that. So I couldn’t leave it for a week with no way to or from long distance stores.

    I ordered a GMC truck off the GMC factory website, but had to choose local dealership for delivery. I am patient and understood the difficulty in ordering a vehicle during this pandemic. I had ordered the truck last April/May 2021 and my truck has had it shares of delays. Covid, operation shut down, plant change over, worker strike, silicone chip shortage... you name it. So you can Imagine how pleased I was when notified by the Fort Wayne IN plant that my truck was built/processed and being shipped via container to Cincinnati OH. That was on February 8th and by February 11th it was sitting in Cincinnati. I call every Friday to check the status and keep getting the run around. I can NOT even get the sales manager, store manager, regional manager, district manager or anyone for that matter to return my call. I leave message and NO call back!!! I already have the VIN and my completed truck sits about 1 hour north of my location and I can't even get Don Franklin to arrange or organize the delivery in a reasonable time frame. Geez people DO YOUR JOB. 57 days I have waited and NO call and NO word on my truck.
