      Between 10/22/24 -10/24/24 I was an inpatient at Norton Hospital ( Downtown) Louisville, Ky. I had 2 surgical procedures to remove a blood clot from my leg. The first procedure was on 10/23/25. The Doctor was only able to complete a portion of the procedure during the 1st procedure. After being treated with a specific medication overnight and being bedridden, ICU, for the next 24 hrs I was taking back for 2nd procedure , on 10/24/24, and had a successful result. I was discharged later that day. In late December of 2024 I began receiving Text messages, (with an imbedded link they encouraged me to press, which I didn't ) from Associates in Dermatology claiming I had an outstanding $ 75.00 bill. I looked up this business and called the ph# listed on their website. During my first phone call the representative could tell me nothing other than that I owed $ 75.00 for being seen on 10/23/24. On that date I was bedridden in ICU at the hospital and couldn't leave. No one visited me that day except someone from the Pulmonology department My 2nd & 3rd calls to this business proved equally at fruitless. They refused to let me speak to a manager, director or anyone else of authority to question this bill. I find it peculiar that they have only contacted me thru text message, No phone calls, no physical bill thru the mail. A highly unorthodox and suspicious way of handling billing. It stands to reason that if they have my phone # then they have access to my mailing address as well as e-mail address, yet they refuse to communicate in any other fashion other than text. Since I'm getting nowhere pursuing this on my own I would welcome any assistance you can provide. I did not see, meet, or go to any office for any kind of Dermatology issue. It smells of a SCAM, Subsequently I don't believe I owe $ 75.00 to this entity.

      While you were admitted at Norton Hospital your provider performed a biopsy, and your tissue was sent to our clinic for processing.  Our Dermatopathologist read your slides for Norton Hospital and provided Norton Hospital with the pathology report.  I have attached your claim information, pathology report, and patient information we received from Norton Hospital.  

      Do you know if you called our clinic or our billing company?   Either way I apologize for the lack of information when you called, they should have asked for a manager to help discern why you were receiving a bill from us when you did not have an appointment in our clinic.

      Associates in Dermatology placed charges on my credit card without notifying me or billing me.

      Patient signed financial consent which covers credit card on file and patients credit card was charged $1.60 for the balance owed on their account.  There was not a statement mailed since the balance was under $10.00.

      I went to this establishment on 7-03-24 I was under the impression they were actual dermatologist, and was equipped to treat patients. I paid 50 dollars to be told sorry, but we can't help you because we don't have the equipment. I tried to reach out directly to this practice about refunding my copay, but they said they couldn't because I received services. I then asked exactly what services I received, and never got a response
