I was looking forward to working with Payne electric. We initially called them because the power was going out in the house, they came out and saw that the breaker box was outdated and we needed service to the house replaced. That was in December 2021 in January 2022 I called Payne to set up a time to look at the house to see how much it will cost to do this job. From January to March we finally had the work done. It took a long time to even get a time set up to do the job. Now we are in the same situation we were in before ; the power still is going off in the house. We had two electricians to look at it look at the work Payne did and they said the breakers were overloaded. The house has four rooms and a bathroom and Payne put all of the rooms on one breaker the kitchen is the only room in the house that still has power. I don’t understand why Payne put all of the rooms on one breaker. When I called to ask about it, Mr. ****** said that he would have to send me another proposal (for which I am still waiting) So that means more money. I don’t feel that this was fair, I feel that when they put the breaker box in that they could’ve also put the appropriate rooms on the appropriate breakers. This seems unethical to me knowing to be the pro and put all those rooms on one breaker. We literally have the same issue we had before we called them. The power cutting off in the house.

I spoke with Mr. ****** regarding the complaint below to understand the entire issue. Mr. ****** sent the original proposal to Ms. ******** and she decided not to have all of the work done due to the price.

There was an agreement to have a new service panel and outlets replaced, as well as adding a circuit and outlet for a stack washer & dryer. We completed this work, but had to make all the original wiring connections the same as they were without adding the extra circuits. Unfortunately, the current circuits are being overloaded and causing the breakers to trip. The only fix for this is to add the additional circuits that were included in the original proposal, so the extra load can be spread over more circuits.

Mr. ****** will be contacting Ms. ******** today, to setup a meet with Ms. ********, discuss the issues and provide a solution to the problems.

    Respectfully,

    ****** ******

My response is too long for this space, so I have included it in an attachment.I do not agree that this is the way things went. Payne Electric was called was because the power was going out in the house; they determined that service to the pole and a new box was needed. This is what I asked Mr. ****** to give me an estimate on. After speaking with the tenant, he came back with a laundry load of additional things to do. Which added up to a total of 9321.00.  This was just not what I asked for. That’s the reason I rejected the initial proposal. There were at least 13 jobs on the initial proposal that I did not even ask for. I felt that Mr. ****** should have contacted me from the beginning to confirm that this was what I wanted him to do as opposed to listening to the tenant. When I spoke to ****** about changing the plugs with wires, he said that essentially, I am rewiring the house which cost substantially more. So, I opted to change out the two-prong receptacles for the three-prong receptacles, which added about 1000 dollars to the bill for the entire house to be done.

Long story short, we have an over-loaded and insufficient system. The tenants are using their washer and dryer with an extension cord. The rest of this is spelled out on the attachment.
