      My mom has Humana and she was diagnosed with cancer and I called customer service with her insurance card information and specifically asked the man if a specific cancer center was in network for her and he said yes it was and then I asked for her benefit information and he gave me the in network information. Now we are getting bills from Humana that's only covered as out of network for the exact cancer center I called and asked about. I searched through their providers, specialists, etc. for this cancer center or the doctors who are taking care of her an NONE of them are in network as the man had told me! For people to better understand, when you call a customer rep for Humana, don't expect for these foreigners to understand what you're asking and don't expect to be able to understand them very clearly! You think if you're hiring someone as a customer service rep who is speaking to American's that speak english as a first language, they would hire people who would be able to properly communicate with their customers but obviously they are just worried about their bottom line and just hire whoever will accept the position and if they can read their prompts I guess is good enough for them!

      Humana terminated my wife's health insurance with United Health care unsolicited and enrolled her in a Humana plan without her authorization. We had to spend hours on the phone with Humana and United to insure she still had coverage. This business practice of cancelling a person's insurance without their authorization and sending them a new card seems fraudulent to me and they should be investigated for preying on the elderly.

      1st after every call to Humana customer service, billing, or pharmacy, I am harassed by telemarketing calls for wellness appointments. Even after reporting this to them and requesting no marketing calls. Humana Representatives And plan information states that you have the option, of in or out of network care, with reimbursement. Over the counter quarterly earnings. However my out of network claims for just 35% partial reimbursement of Chiropatic care are continually denied with excuses. in network chiropatic another issue. The Centerwell over the counter items selection is great, however what you receive are generic cheapest filled items but name brands are listed as comparatives- quality is not even close but prices are. For standard medical care coverage has been good, fairly paid for, however After two years of harassment and inconvenience, of telemarketing calls, and denied coverage of out of network care, I am switching to see if another company values my patronage more.

      If I could give them a 0 star I would. This company is complete fraud. I paid for my policy over 6 months ago. You can only get into dentists that they allow, fine. The closest one to me is an hour away. Fine. I get there wait a half hour for them to tell me they dont accept my insurance. Mind you they are the ones that chose and scheduled the appt!!!!!!!!!! I drove an hour to the appt and an hour home. Im still on the phone. Hour home and still on the phone as im sitting here typing this. WAITING ON A MANAGER WHO I HAVE ASKED TO SPEAK TO 4 DIFFERENT TIMES. IVE BEEN ON THE PHONE FOR OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF.

      Humana is snowballing us about getting our dad into a great LTAC called Kindred. St. Anthony's Hospital recommended 3 places and this one was our first choice. All the businesses are near his home. One other choice we like but our dad is ineligible for it because he needs a higher level of care than that place. Also kindreds main goal is to get him rehab then home as soon as possible. I think Humana is not motived to send our dad to Kindred out of greed and discrimination due to our Dad's advanced age. This is unacceptable and we also filed a family complaint and grievance. Our dad wants to go home and live longer and even St Anthony's Hospital said our dad could live more years but the third choice that we don't like since that one is basically giving up on our dad ever coming home. Please don't let humana kill our dad like humana killed our mom due to substandard almost criminal care. I've convinced many to drop humana and think they deserve a negative rating instead of a one star.

      I would give them NO STARS! Worst advantage plan to go with especially for the elderly. Tried them 2 times, thought they were improving after 2 years. Not! Don't anyone buy into humana, they are worthless. None of your claims will be covered, no matter what they are for or what your plan says. Headaches created for all primary care doctors. No one at any medical office can get answers or claims completed or paid. No wonder they are going down. Word to united Healthcare, you are going to have alot of work on your hands to bring this around. Just hope you are not doing it for the contact/member list. Truly hoping you are in it to HELP the suffering members. I've switched for the 2nd time, should have learned my lesson 1st time. Going with *****!

      I just wish there was an option to leave zero stars. Humana dropped me from my current Medicare plan for 2025 - Gold Plus Advantage. Looking at their website it says it is still available in my area and would have let me sign up for it. Their customer service then said it wasn't available. I would never have anything to do with Humana in the future if I could possible avoid it.

      31May24 I signed up my disabled brother( I am POA) for Humana Plan F supplemental insurance. He last lived at an assisted living home in Lockhart Texas early May. Due to mismanaged medication and neglect, he was admitted to a hospital twice beginning in April. He spent most of May in a rehab facility. He came to life with me 29May24 when he was discharged and Canyon Lake became his permanent address. I signed up for the Humana plan with TZ Insurance, a broker. I was told by David M***** that he would be covered effective 01Jun24 if I canceled his WellCare Advantage plan by 31May, which I did. Had a terrible time with Wellcare, trying to get confirmation that he was canceled that day. I finally heard back from the parent company of Wellcare and was promptly emailed a letter stating that Wellcare coverage was no longer effective 01Jun24, due to his move out of covered area for their plan. I was told by a representative at Humana to email medsuppcorrespondence@humana the letter and it could be backdated to take effect 01Jun24 due to the circumstances. On June 7, I sent the letter from Wellcare, proof of cancellation and also my power of attorney. Received the Humana Supplemental card in the mail. I recently tried to make an appointment for my brother and was told that the insurance was inactive. I called Humana to find out that it would be effective July 1 and not June 1. I was told repeatedly by Humana customer service and Medicare that since I had canceled Wellcare May 31 and he had moved that the Humana plan could be backdated with proof of cancellation of insurance of Wellcare. I also purchased, a prescription drug plan on 31May24 that also required Wellcare to release Marcus from Wellcare insurance plan. Marcus needs the coverage, as promised, for the month of June. I have spent days and days and hours upon hours trying to get this resolved.

      I am a senior and have HUMANA as a secondary to MEDICARE--- I choose this because of Silver Sneakers, and a 200$ mnthly card for certain items and at certain stores. I used the card end of 2023--Walmart, Hannaford, and Walgreens. In January senior day Tuesday--I used the card. I only used these stores as they are close to me. I have been home for practically 3 mnths as my car was down. I called a couple days ago and was told 0 balance--I talked with this guy from Nicaragua and he said HUMANA does not honor scams, AND APPARENTLY THIS IS A CRISIS WITH THIS CARD! So, I lost 600$ roughly from HUMANA and they do not care! I am issued another card in a few weeks--so hopefully the scammers will not corrupt this card, BUT nevertheless HUMANA WILL NOT PAY!!!!! December when I tried to use this card--some food would not go through, and flashlights and batteries could not be rechargeable? THIS IS A RIP OFF AND I DO NOT PLAN TO KEEP HUMANA NEXT ENROLLMENT PERIOD! I also question last yr HUMANA DID NOT TAKE 50$ off of my part B? I am new to these insurance companies BUT RUNAWAY FROM HUMANA! It does not take responsibility to there senior customers. I am poor due to house fire and this hurts me real bad! I was saving the 200$ money for when I went to Florida--and now I have none! RIP OFF!!!! I had an agent from NC that screwed up my application so I lost 300$ last year from her not enrolling me properly.
