As a preface, all my interactions with the various restaurant staff I have ever dealt with at any Texas Roadhouse has always been positive. The issue I did have recently was I had purchased an e-gift card early on Mother's Day as that is where my mom wanted to go. I didn't think anything more of it until I went to pay at the Shakopee, MN restaurant after our meal hours later. I could not seem to find the gift card anywhere. Restaurant staff tried their best to help me for like an hour but said it looked like I never received my gift card. So I ended up paying for the meal. Later that night, I finally received my email with the gift card- hours and hours later. I then wrote an email the Texas Roadhouse Service Desk saying that I was very unhappy with this situation and that I wanted my money back... or certainly at the very least, some sort of credit for all the hassle their system caused. The response was "Hi, Thank you for contacting us here at Texas Roadhouse. Our gift cards are not refundable and all sales are final. We are sorry for the inconvenience but they can be re gifted and never expire. I hope this helps!" And my Relations ticket was closed as "Resolved." ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. This is my first step and but WILL NOT be my last on this issue. It truly is a pity if I have to go scorched Earth on this now since the actual restaurants are not the problem. I am far more unhappy than I was before. I certainly hope Texas Roadhouse makes this situation right.

Scott, I'm really sorry about your experience and not receiving the gift card while you were at the restaurant. It is never our intention to make a visit or conversation difficult for our guests. While our Guest Relations Partner was correct with the information provided about gift cards being non-returnable, I'd like to try and welcome you back with a better experience. I've sent an offer to your e-mail address in hopes you'll give our brand a second chance.

Thank you for your feedback! We hope to serve you again in the future.

Our experience was one that I'll never forget. We went to this location on Mother's Day! I got a text from Texas Roadhouse that said" Texas Roadhouse VIP: Happy Mom'a Day! Join our Waitlist online or through our Mobile App to skip the wait and make Mom's day legendary! I downloaded the app and signed up. I downloaded the APP and signed in. However, when I got there I was told I had a 1 1/2 wait. I went to the car to get the phone and I showed her what it said. She said, "They would text me when I was ready". I told her that I would go to the car to get my elderly family member. When I told her we were back she told me I had to wait. The manager (Lisa) jumped in and said, they made no reservations and there is always a waiting list. I showed her the text that Texas Roadhouse sent. I asked the young lady how long the wait would be. She said, 2:00 pm. At 2:00 pm I went to the counter. The young man (Wyatt) said, I had 2:20 pm, but he was pushing it back to 2:40 pm. At 2:40 I went to the counter. Wyatt said they were cleaning a table for 5 people then. I asked if there were 4 people and if they could go now. He said, yes. I asked the manager (Lisa) for her last name. She said, for what? I told her that I wanted to fill out a survey. She said, "It wouldn't do me any good, because her husband is the owner". I asked why they sent the text. She said it wasn't them that sent it. Needless to say, everyone at my party stayed except me. My main complaint was the attitude of the manager. She was rude each time I spoke to her. I recommend she go to customer service training. You don't tell customers it will not do any good to complain for any reason..... The Texas Roadhouse in Modesto, Ca: This happened on 4/20/25 between 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. —Do not come here on a holiday. Doris the girl at the desk forgot to write the number of our party down, and we waited for nothing. My nephew walked in to ask and Doris admitted that she forgot to write the number of our party down. After 40 min of waiting we were told to wait another hour. Jacob the manager didn’t apologize about it. He just told us we have to wait another hour. We were nice and polite and my 14 yr old daughter who was standing politely next to me was shooed by Doris who told us to go by the door to wait for the manager, and nobody was even standing behind us. I can understand that behavior if we were rude or aggressive, but we were not. Doris just knew she messed up by forgetting to write the number of our party down. I will be honest, if Doris and Jacob were kind about it, it wouldn’t have been so bad. But their bad attitude, arrogance, and lack of customer service really made it an unpleasant situation. (We were a party of 9). We were polite and kept our composure, and went to another restaurant. It’s too bad that customer service isn’t what it used to be. I will contact corporate because we were all nice and calm and didn’t deserve the lack of respect by Doris and Jacob.

I was served I drink and a dirty glass. The waitress apologize and said it shouldn't have happened that they do go through a dishwasher but she would have to get a manager's approval to get the charge removed and she would have a manager come over. A manager never came to the table or address the issue or apologized. Also my food was cold.

The way I was treated at Texas Roadhouse in Evansville on 3/16/25 is really indescribable. I have NEVER had a manger come to me and tell me that I am BANNED from the restaurant for sending back my burnt steak back to be remade (I always order Medium which has pink) . This was clearly the restaurants mistake not mine! He didn’t even try to remake it or ask if he could accommodate me with something else. He just told me that he was taking care of my bill and after 15 minutes of me waiting on another one, came back to make sure I was aware that I wouldn’t be getting another one (I clearly wasn’t informed to begin with or I wouldn’t have kept waiting). I even expressed that comping my bill was not something I cared about. I could care less about that. I can pay for my food with no issue. I simply wanted my food and wanted it right (how I ordered it), Yes I can admit that I’ve sent steaks back before if it’s not made how I ordered it, but it’s not all the time not even close. If you really know me, you know that I’m a regular as in every other week or 2-3. I pay my tab and tip the server 20% and up, with no hesitation! I have never shown my ass, asked for a free meal or any special treatment because I am a B****** employee (family restaurants). I am a server at that so I most definitely understand the industry, but I refuse to be treated like I’m not a regular human being and/or guest. Little did he know, that was my first meal of the day well going to be after already being on an hour wait and I honestly have no words. B***** WOULD NEVER treat anyone the way I was treated! I reported a claim to corporate on 3/17/25. They took down my info. I followed up on the claim on 3/24/25 as I haven’t heard back from anyone still! It’s going on almost 2 weeks and I have yet to receive any type of follow up. This is ridiculous ! Makes me appreciate being a B***** employee and not a Roadhouse employee. I would leave 0 stars if I could based on how I was treated!

We dined at the Texas Roadhouse in Pueblo, Colorado tonight. Seven of us were celebrating a birthday. The food was very good. However, the music was so loud, everyone in the restaurant was talking very loud over the music, so the ambience sucked! We couldn't hear each other at our table and it really affected our dinner together. We mentioned it to the manager and she said the volume varies all the time, by itself. Not a good excuse.

I went today on 3/17/2025 to Texas Roadhouse on New Braunfels and Military Dr they ask me for my full name for waitlist. My name is Norma V****** I got a text to check in and was told that a table was getting prepared. They called Norma party of three and someone else went. I told them at the front and they said that they would get a table next for us. We waited and 30 minutes while other people were going in to there tables. They finally called us and we noticed that it said Norma L. Why do they ask for your full name in they only call out for first name. I kept the paper and will be calling management. Seriously thinking about ever going again. Very disappointed.

Absolutely awful. Always a 1-2 hour wait and even then you’re waiting longer. Not sure why another location hasn’t been opened up here. Everytime we try to fight it we are let down and multiple people are complaining.

We frequently visit Texas Roadhouse in Cape Girardeau MO. The food and service is usually good. The experience we had today was not so good. There were two of us. They sat us at a booth, and then said you can’t sit here the server is at lunch. They moved us to a table for six. They did not; however, move the plates for rolls. We had to get up and get those for ourselves. When they delivered the food to our table, our server walked away when we were telling her what condiments we needed. We kept waiting for the steak sauce she did hear us say. After we waited for several minutes I had to walk to the front to request some service. We did not complain about the cold, overdone food we received. The people at the booth next to us had to send their food back a couple of times. I hope this does not happen again. We will be a little hesitant about returning there. The manager did visit our table about the service, but we were no trying to get discounted food. We just wanted the service we had come to expect from Texas Roadhouse.
