    The first issue occurred on the night of her passing. The hospice nurse and I contacted the funeral home to notify them, and to arrange for transport from the Northern Kentucky area to Pike County. Community Funeral Home was the funeral home my Mommaw had chosen and paid for many years ago. Each person we spoke with presented as rude and inconvenienced by our needs. They asked to have a funeral home in the area pick her up that night and they would then arrange transport. The nurse, my mother, and I, all inquired about additional payment for this and the transport, we were assured by ******* himself that there would be none. Fast forward three to four days later, my uncle is informed that he must pay $450 for the additional transport. The remaining issues occurred on the first night of the visitation. Only a few short hours before the visitation was set to begin, Community Funeral Home published Mommaw's obituary, which was riddled with incorrect information. My Mommaw's sister was listed as deceased and with the wrong name. My mother was also listed with the wrong name, and family members that did not even exist were added in the obituary. While I understand mistakes happen, though in this case they should not have, the bigger issue lies with how they handled their mistakes. A few family members contacted Community Funeral Home regarding these blatant mistakes and rather than being apologetic and promptly correcting this, they were once again rude and, in their exact words, "would get to it when they had time". After some time, I contacted them myself to address this issue, and I was met with the same rudeness and lack of compassion and/or care. Once again, rather than apologizing and taking prompt steps to correct their mistakes, they became defensive and angered that we were upset. The biggest issue of all then occurred at the church.
