    We hired Bouldin Roofing to roof our house after storm damage. We had requested that some gutters be replaced at our first meeting with their representative, which occurred in early May 2023. The gutter work didn't make it into the quote, but we didn't know that. After the roof was installed in August of 2023, we waited for some time before inquiring about why the gutter work had been done. At that meeting we were assured that the work would be done after the representative came back and looked at the job again, which he did in a few days. Some time passed and after not seeing anyone, we went back again and were told that the estimate had not been saved in the software. This was sometime in the fall. In late December, the representative who had done the estimate and the one who was to do the gutter work came and walked around looking at the job. In May 2024, my husband stopped in to inquire again about the work and was told that the man who would do the work had the work order. My husband asked what the hold up was and the person he talked to said that he would find out and give him a call. We have heard nothing since. To be fair, we have not been billed for the roofing part of the job, but think it is time for a resolution.

    Yes, there has been several delays in getting the guttering on this house completed.  So delays was due to not knowing the customer wanted us to include gutters on the original estimate, other delays are just scheduling.   The area that needs the gutters installed will require the use of a heavy lift to be able to reach the roof where the new gutters need to be installed. Due to the ample amounts of rain we have had this spring we have not been able to come and install without putting deep ruts in the yard.  Now that we have had a change in the weather and the ground is dry we are able to schedule the install.  Right now we are looking to have the gutters installed in the next 2 weeks.   Please not this is a $20,800.00 contract, in which only $5,270.00 is for the guttering.  The bulk of the contract is in the roofing.  We did the roofing section in August 2023.  We have never asked the customer for a down payment, nor have billed for any services.  We are most eager to complete the job so we can get paid, I just didn't want to cause damage to customers property.  Hope customer feels free to calls us to discuss.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

    All of this could have been avoided with proper communication.

    While the gutter work apparently did not make it into the quote, we did request it at the first meeting. We made at least 3 trips to the business to inquire about the status of the gutter part of the job, but  I dont believe we ever received a phone call, text or email about the reason for the delay once the business was made aware that we had requested the gutter work. We were pleased with the quality of work on the roofing job. And we appreciate the consideration for not damaging our property.
