I USED THE VACUUM YESTERDAY EVENING AROUND 630 AND AFTER FINISHING NOTICED THAT THE FRONT OF MY NEW OUTFIT (WORN FIRST TIME) WAS FILTHY! I HAD ONLY INTENDED TO STOP AND VACUUM LIGHTLY AREAS OF THE TRUCK. IT WAS A CLOUDY DAY, BUT NOT RAINING AT THE TIME. ALL OF THE WORKERS WERE IN THE OFFICE WHEN I CAME AND NOT ONE WAS OUTSIDE! THE MANAGER ADDRESSED THE CONCERN AND SIMPLY SAID THAT THEY GET THESE COMPLAINTS ON RAINY DAYS. AS FAR AS I CAN SEE, THERE IS NO TOLERANCE FOR THIS WITH ANY WEATHER! NO OTHER CARWASH THAT I VISIT HAS BROKEN HOSES ALL THE TIME AND IS FILTHY LIKE THIS ONE IS. THE TEENAGE MANAGER OFFERED A FREE CAR WASH! I DID NOT EVEN COMMENT WHEN I HAVE A BADGE FOR MEMBERSHIP STARING HER IN THE FACE! THE OUTFIT HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE CLEANERS TO REMOVE THE GREASY MARKINGS ALL DOWN THE JUMPSUIT FRONT. AGAIN, I TYPICALLY DO NOT CLEAN THE CAR DRESSED IN CLOTHING OF THIS NATURE, BUT REGARDLESS, WOULD NOT EXPECT THIS TO OCCUR DURING A 5 MINUTE VACUUM STOP!!!!Business Response

It is very disheartening to have a new outfit get dirty! Many customers choose to utilize our interior services at locations where we do the dirty work for you. We provide their uniform shirts, so they do not have to worry about tarnishing their own clothing. Those that choose to use our complimentary vacuums do risk getting dirty in the process. Our sites are well maintained, and on busy days, an associate is scheduled on vac coverage. However, our facilities are all outdoors, and vacs are generally used because dirt is present. Additionally, your visit took place on a day when it had been raining. There was no negligence on the part of the staff or site in cleanliness, the ground was wet and we observed the vacuums as you cleaned your vehicle, there was nothing that would cause us to assume that we were at fault for your utilization of the free service area. The hoses were not broken or torn, nor dragging the ground during your use of the service.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because they did not accept liability when the Manager at the location did when I spoke to her! If this matter is not handled in a more concerned manner, I will simply not ever renew membership!!!! There are several nicer facilities that are just as convenient!

I WENT TO BENNY'S AT GREENWELL SPRINGS RD ON THURSDAY, 3/28/24 TO GET AN OIL CHANGE ON MY 2022 HONDA ACCORD. ON FRIDAY, 3/29/24, I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK WHEN MY CAR BEGAN JERKING AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I IMMEDIATELY SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH HONDA FOR SATURDAY, 3/30/24. AFTER TAKING MY CAR TO HONDA THEY ADVISED THAT BENNY'S WAS THE CAUSE OF THE DAMAGES TO MY VEHICLE. THEY SENT ME PICTURES AND A BREAKDOWN OF WHAT CAUSED THE DAMAGES TO MY VEHICLE. I SPOKE WITH LANCE AT BENNYS, WHO FROM THE BEGINNING WAS VERY RUDE AND BRUSHOFF-ISH. HE STATED THAT THIS IS NOT BENNYS FAULT AND THAT BENNYS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE AND WILL NOT PAY ANYTHING. HE ALSO STATED THAT SOMEONE MUST HAVE TAMPERED WITH MY VEHICLE AFTER I GOT MY OIL CHANGED, WHICH MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. NOW I HAVE A VEHICLE WITH A BAD MOTOR AND CAR NOTE STILL HAS TO BE PAID. THE DAMAGES ARE OVER $10KBusiness Response

Customer's vehicle was assessed soon after leaving property. Oil levels were correct. Correct Torque was utilized on drain plug post service. Oil levels were proper when assessed on the road. Vehicle has electrical problems stemming from a loose belt that we did not service (serpentine belt was damaged and fell off at Honda). We spoke with the Honda technician yesterday who had assessed the vehicle.
Pictures attached are of the drain plug at Honda, the tamper seal had been broken. That is the pink seal we utilize post service to show whether or not changes have been made to the vehicle's drain post service. Engine levels assessed by Honda showed slightly over filled, not low. Damage was not assessed as due to a faulty oil change.
Video's of the service were reviewed and saved. All procedures were followed and customer was informed of post service oil levels both visually and verbally after associate checked the dipstick twice. Post service pressure in bay did not express any leaks and all was normal upon exiting the bay. Customer's vehicle is currently 500 miles post service and we were not notified.

Transaction: 10-10-23 Benny's Car Wash 4105 Perkins Rd. Baton Rouge, LA 70808 (Not the Airline Hwy. location shown on the e-file) Oil & Filter replacement: $91.94 My daughter, a college student at LSU, uses Benny's to replace her oil & filter in her car as well as Benny's car wash, to wash her car. On February 8, 2024, she arrived at a church, in Madisonville, where she met me, mentioning her car was making noise. After the services, I surveyed her car and noticed oil on the back area of the car, looked under the car and noticed oil on the concrete. I then had the car towed to my house ($100 tow charge). I then looked under the car and noticed that the oil pan plug was missing. I called Benny's and spoke with ******* ******, the Service Manager, and he submitted the claim to the claim department. ***** *****, the Incident Investigator, became my contact and had telephone conversations and email conversations with him. It took a week for him to tell me that Benny's was not liable for the drain plug missing and they would not be responsible for the damages done. I've attached the latest oil change receipt and a photo of the oil pan where the plug (Bolt) should be.Business Response

Mr. ****** -
I apologize this situation happened. As ***** has explained, there was over 3000 miles on the oil change. Drain plugs don't just fall out on their own without an issue. He has given you the TSB on your oil pan and the issues associated with it. If we did not perform the work properly there would be an issue prior to 500 miles. Again I do apologize for the situation, we do not see the responsibility for this situation.

I went through the wash on Nov. 3, 2023. At the end, there is a dropdown dryer to dry your vehicle as you are exiting. On this occasion the dryer dropped down, malfunctioning and took out my wipers & fin antenna. This was not a vehicle problem because had the dryer been functioning correctly the dryer would have been controlled and rolled easily across the body of the car, as expected. When I exited, I spoke to staff who admitted the defect & replaced my wipers. They informed me that my antenna had a recall so they refused to replace. I called my family attorney and called the location back explaining why it was in fact their responsibility due to malfunction and not recall. Later, after getting no response I called ***** and he rudely told me that, yes, if it was malfunctioning they would replace but there was no report made for that day. Well I was there with an issue but they apparently chose not to file the report. I want the damage to be repairedBusiness Response

his vehicle has known issues with the shark fin. They use screws that are to short. They only have one or two threads in the actual shark fin itself. 2014 is the year with the notice from Hyundai for this issue. The blowers can blow them off while working properly. This issue is known throughout the car wash industry with enough issues that they were fixing these a few years ago. With that being said, let me speak with ***** in regards to this particular situation. Either he or I will contact you back on this.Initial Complaint

I went to get a car wash on 9/24. The flagged (****** was not watching and simply telling me to come forward. Well my car wouldn’t go forward so I had to reverse since my car was stuck on the yellow track. My front bumper was cracked and is messed up and not properly attached to my car ****** ****** called me today and said I must had had a low tire or under damage to my car which I do not. But they are saying they are not responsible and will not pay to fix my car. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my car before I went there.Business Response

I reviewed the video, ***** was looking directly at the vehicle while guiding on the track. The control arm looks like it hits the yellow plastic cover. The vehicle then backs up, which may be because it was stuck on the track by the control arm. The plastic track is cut leaving a piece hanging. This vehicle comes from the factory with 4.5 inches of clearance. The track is three inches high. This vehicle height may have been modified, perhaps lower tires and rims. We send many of these vehicles down the tunnel on a regular basis. This is not an issue we have encountered. If she would like I would be happy to look at the vehicle to get a better understanding of why this happened.Initial Complaint

We went to the car wash and the side mirror was ripped off by brushes. According to ***** he claims we pinched the brushes with our mirror. I have video evidence showing it to not be true. He refuses to give us video of that. He attempted to offer us a free membership but we declined. We would rather get paid for the mirror. He then went on to blame us and saying they have signage. I mention how they have paid others with scratches to their car but not they are refusing to pay us when they just offered us a membership for free. He rudely cut me off over and over saying he was no longer discussing it. All we want is the same treatment. I have no idea why we are being treated differently. He claims another ***** worked there previously, which was a lie.Business Response

I went to Benny's on September 24th and the 30th,after I got my car washed September 30th and I noticed I have scratches on my hood of my car so I immediately went to Benny's and spoke to the manager-in-training he had me fill out a claim form on an iPad he then tells me to wait for 5 to 6 days and I will get a call so 6 days go by and I call the incident investigator ***** ***** and he said he didn't hear anything so clearly the manager-in-training didn't do his job. So I told ***** about my reason of calling him, I told him my concern and he sent me pictures of my car entering and exiting the carwash and my hood had scratches on it so I said look up September 24h when i went to the car wash, so he sent pictures of my car entering and I didn't have any scratches on my hood but he sent me a picture of my car exiting the carwash and my hood apparently has scratches on it so of course ***** denied it and I requested we meet up to talk about it. Today October 11,2022 around 6:32am I meet with ***** at Benny's and he tells me looks like someone dragged something on your hood I said we have security guards watch surveil***** cameras and if someone would've have tried to destruct my car I would've been noticed I told him you sent me a picture with my a car without scratches and I believe and how the pattern of the scratches look it happened at Benny's and he denied it but justice needs to be served I looked up Benny's on bbb.org and they have former complaints about the same issue, I just want Benny's to take responsibility for thisBusiness Response

We do appreciate when people wash their vehicle they will notice scratches. As you look at the pictures of these scratches there are multiple reasons these would not have not be created from the wash process. Going down the tunnel all the equipment moves from front to back of the vehicle. The scratches go side to side and cross over each other. It look like there are two different times these scratches occurred. One set is uniform and going across the vehicle. Then there are a separate set crossing these in an opposite direction. You can see a set is visible on the edge of the hood. Then again in the middle of the passenger hood area. Our equipment works the same way on every vehicle. The "wraps" which spin front to back of vehicle and have finger cloth about 8-10 inches in length. If something was in the material there would be scratches dotted and uniformed down the entire vehicle. The tops are cleaned with the "mitter", this starts on the grill moving over the entire vehicle. This could not pick places periodically across the vehicle. These scratches are multiple directions and ununiformed. I do understand that you noticed these after the wash, they are not consistent with how the equipment works. Lance explained this when he met with you. I do apologize for the situation and if we can explain or show anything else please don't hesitate to let us knowCustomer Answer
