    I am writing this to discuss the matter that has been going on with Bluebonnet Dental in BR, LA. During this visit, I did not have insurance in which the billing rep recommended me applying for the Care Credit card to cover the dental work. I apply and was approved that day for the discussed dental plan. I am not sure why this office is calling me now when this treatment was completed in March 2023 stating I owe them the remaining balance. I received a bill charging me the remaining balance for dental services without prior authorization to confirm my insurance coverage. I want to highlight that I was under the impression that your office would verify my insurance coverage before proceeding with any treatments or billing. Unfortunately, I was charged the remaining balance without any prior communication or confirmation that my insurance coverage was validated. This lack of communication and verification has resulted in an unexpected financial burden for me, and I am trying to maintain my credit. As a patient, I believe it is essential for dental offices to ensure that insurance coverage is confirmed, and treatment costs are communicated transparently before any procedures are performed. My gf who is a social worker reviewed the dental association policy in which a prior auth should have been done - I am confused because I told the rep I did not have insurance and for that reason I had to apply for the Care Credit. after six months, I am being contacted about paying when I don't have it to begin with. My partner was insulted by staff in which the rep told me that "we could not get you to understand because your girlfriend is social worker" what did not have to do with anything! After meeting with the office, the office manager told my gf and I that she would send out the company policy about prior auth in which I never received upon leaving the dental clinic on Dec 5. Due to a billing representative not doing their job I am left to pay the rest.

    I emailed Bluebonnet Dental Center after waiting a week and a half for someone to get back in touch with me through phone . Well after they got that email someone finally called me back. The manager called me back and I explained my situation to her. After reading my email I guess she didn’t like that I had a complaint so she was already giving off a vibe that she didn’t want to deal with me . After I ask for corporate number she found an appointment for me the same day but she told me she hope I don’t mind waiting because it was going to be a while since she had to squeeze me in. I expressed to her that this was unacceptable treatment and if they treated me like this before they got my money I would have not allowed them to do any work in my mouth. Before the office got my money I was top priority, now that they have been paid in full , I’m treated like I don’t matter , I hired them for a service , and I’m not happy with how I’ve been handle since than . I called corporate last week and the man I spoke with told me that someone would be in contact with me shortly about this but I’m still waiting. Who do I get in contact with about Bluebonnets unprofessional behavior and how do I get my money back from this rude over booked under staffed dental office. I do not want any more dealings with those people.
