We have been having electrical issues at our business. Called Mr. Electric to troubleshoot the problem. They charged $860.00 just to give us an estimate. The estimate they gave us for $ 9700.00 listed major work needing to be done. We called and got a second opinion (at no charge) and found out the majority of our problem was due to Entergy's equipment. Entergy confirmed and ran a new line to our building. Mr. Electric scammed us for the $ 860.00 to diagnose our problem then tried to scam us for nearly $ 10,000.00. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

I made an appointment with Mr. Electric for June 15th, 2022 to run a dedicated 20 amp circuit to my furnace to help resolve an issue that I was having with my circuit tripping. The technician came out on June 16, 2022 and said that he found that the issue was a bad breaker and charged me to change a 15A circuit and replaced with a 20A circuit to help keep the Im unit from tripping. After paying, I realized that the technician had changed the wrong breaker and requested that he come back and do the original request of running a dedicated circuit. A couple days later, the breaker tripped again and my tenant couldn’t reset the breaker because the panel cover was installed backwards, When I called the technician, he said that the technician that was working with him told him that he may have installed it wrong and would come fix it but lived too far away to do it immediately. I had to pack my 3 young kids up and drive an hour and a half through traffic to Baton Rouge just to swap the panel cover around so I could reset the breaker because it was about 4 PM in the afternoon and my tenant was without a/c. I called and complained to Mr. Electric the following day and they agreed to investigate and send me another technician to follow up with my original issue. The second tech stated that my electric panel was broken and needed to be replaced entirely. Although I have security cameras pointed directly in sight of the panel, and no one else had touched the panel since Mr. Electric, they denied that they made the mistake of putting the panel on backwards, which could have caused the panel to break. I had to hire another electrician to come and resolve the issue, including swapping out the breaker Mr. Electric had changed from 15A to 20A because of the danger of having 14 gauge wires on a 20A circuit. Mr. Electric acknowledges their mistake and refunded me for their work but refuses to reimburse me for paying another electrician to fix their mistake.
