Had a Buyer's order and agreement for a vehicle purchase, but 600 miles into my trip to Louisiana from Colorado to complete the transaction, they sold the truck and didn't let me know til I had driven at least another 5 hours after they sold it the morning of December 28th 2024. Had to get a hotel and drive another 10 hrs the next day to return home. Felt like a total waste of time and at least $300 for gas, food, and hotel. I asked for a return call from ***** *********s manager and am still waiting 3 weeks later. They really dont seem to care about or respect a potential customer. Just wanted to let others know of this unprofessional business transaction I experienced with Gerry Lane Chevrolet.Gerry Lane Chevrolet

Wrote a review last week about Gerry Lane Chevrolet. It doesn't get better with this Dealership. Got an voicemail from service manager **** *******. Returned phone call assuming update about my vehicle that has been to dealership several times about an issue that I was told was nothing, but several different parts later here we are. I was told to come pick up my vehicle, and I don't care what you do with it. Do bring it back here for service. I will no longer service your vehicle find somewhere else. This is a 2023 vehicle I purchased brand new off the truck not a used as is deal. His reason was because I gave a bad review. To all consumers reviews and surveys are important to the level of service you receive, because it goes directly to the manufacturer, and affects and bonuses given. Also don't be afraid to contact customer support.Gerry Lane Chevrolet

My car has spent almost 2 months at this shop for a coolant leak. Over $300 just to look at it. It took the dealership 3 weeks to perform a repair on my car to replace heating core and ECU. Was not quoted a timeframe. Called daily total lack of communication. Paid over 4k for this repair and then I was told my alternator was also going to need to be replaced and it would cost 1k. I picked up the car and learned to replace the alternator myself for $350 and 45 minutes of work. Discovered the leak was not repaired and took the car back to the dealership. Was told this was now a different problem thermostat and it would cost over $500 to repair. 2 weeks later my car was ready. Drove it for a day and discovered the leak still isn't repaired. Now the car is once again back in the shop. They forgot to reprogram key fabs. Picked car up again a few days later. It has been just over a week and once again the car is leaking coolant. This would be the 4th time I will have to return for a repair I am already making payments on. Good mechanics fix a mistake, bad mechanics let them drive out the shop. Spoke with the service manager over the phone seeking to either have this repair expedited or to see if the dealership could accommodate traveling while my car was returning to the shop and he asked me to take is review down. I asked him why should I do that and he told me I was a liar and that the dates I wrote in the review were off. He’s the person in charge arguing with me about how many weeks the car was in the shop when his people have failed 3 times to address the issue and I’m frustrated. He said they had done their best and resolved the issue and that he thought I said I was never going back there again. The issue is not resolved! I asked him “do you think this issue is resolved?” How shady to ask a dissatisfied customer to remove a review and call them a liar to boot. Trust me I wouldn’t return here by choice.Gerry Lane Chevrolet

I first brought my car in June 2022 for AC blowing hot air. Come July 2024 and 6 visits to get vehicle fixed, it is still blowing hot air. Called and spoke with service manager and his response was, 'I don't know what to tell you." He made it sound like there has been different leaks in the system every time, which I find very hard to believe. I understand the AC system is intricate, but 6 times for same issue and never resolved. Car was under warranty the first 3 times I brought it in and now the warranty has expired and want me to pay for repairs. They make it seem like they are doing a huge deed by calling GM for assistance. We would have not needed GM assistance if it was fixed right the first 3 times it was in under warranty. I have paid out of pocket almost $1,200 to have a vehicle still blow hot air. I was also told I would get a refund for one of the charges in May of 2023 when car was under warranty and I was incorrectly charged, and guess what, I still have yet to receive that refund over a year later. When does a company not stand by their work. My grandfather was vice president of a Chevrolet dealership and he would have never let this happen to anyone. This absolutely absurd to bring your vehicle in that may times for the same issue and not be resolved. It also makes it especially hard when they keep your vehicle for 2-3 weeks at a time. Absolutely horrible.Gerry Lane Chevrolet

Mr. ****** we are doing our absolute best to help you here. We are working with GM and warranty for the best possible scenario. On top of that, we are working towards getting a service loaner. We will continue to keep you updated and again, we truly understand the frustration and apologize for this situation.A. L.

Through all the calls and frustrations with getting my vehicle fixed and with no guarantees it would even get fixed correctly after 6 trips in two years, I decided to go ahead and trade the vehicle in. I felt Gerry Lane, the sales rep, the sales manager, and the service manager all made it right in the end. They were able to give me top dollar for my trade in and also give me the vehicle I was interested in at a fair price. I am willing to give them a second chance on this newly purchased used vehicle. Thank you again for coming up with a solution that was best for all parties involved.Review fromKia P

I will never bring so much as a bicycle over to Gerry Lane Chevrolet for service. Both service managers were disrespectful, unprofessional and incapable for communicating updates on my vehicle. My insurance company had no issue paying out claims for parts/services but the service department repeatedly refused to submit supporting documentation to pay out the claim. When I was notified that the car was finished, I payed out my deductible and drove off... only to find that there were issues (still) with the car. Returned the car the next day, and was told it "MIGH" be the steering column. (No reassured). When I spoke to ****, about my dissatisfaction he told me "if I wasn't satisfied with their services, to come get my car and take it someone else." I had to escalated my dissatisfaction to the Operations Director and Mr. **** **** himself to get the claims resolved. However, I never got so much as an apology from any one of them as to how I was treated through this whole experience. Lack of communication, unprofessional, inexperienced techs in the service department. I will never obtain services or buy a car from that locationGerry Lane Chevrolet

Mrs. *****, we are truly so sorry for this misunderstanding. However, we did everything in our power to get this resolved, included a complimentary loaner vehicle, and ended up not charging you for any of the services at all. Please accept this apology and if you would like to discuss any further, we are happy to speak with you again.Review fromJarvis J

I never in my will buy as much as an AIR freshener from Gerry Lane after them doing body work on my truck. On 9/11/23 I was backed into at full speed sitting at a red light. The driver of course didn't have insurance so I had to file through MY insurance. I shopped around for a body shop to do the work (replace front end AND replace bent control arm) why on earth I have had the following problems since then I do not know. 1.)Slipping transmission 2)exhaust leaks 3)poor welds on exhaust 3.) gas line disconnected 4.)disconnected parts under hood. My truck has broken 3-4 times since picking it up from GL on 2/6/24. I dropped it off on 12/30 for a job that they said would take 3 weeks but had taken 6 weeks (which exhausted my rental coverage). They suggested I take it to an exhaust shop bc I have an "after market exhaust" which is what I did and that shop said "where the damage is is your CONVERTER FORWARD which is NOT modified, the only modifications were at the BACK which were 2 added tail pipes. All in all Gerry Lane body and service is putting the blame on EVERYONE else instead of trying to help get everything resolved. And say for instance there were exhaust and transmission issues be4 bringing it to GL on 12/30 why wasn't it caught by their body shop upon delivery and no mention of it by pick up. This has been a nightmare from hell. I have been having to lyft for the past month. I have reached out to General Motors customer care because I am livid. NEVER EVER take your truck to Gerry Lane in Baton Rouge.Gerry Lane Chevrolet

We truly apologize for the misunderstanding but we did our best to work with Mr. ******** This was a frame swap, there was no painting on the vehicle. We had no indication of a slipping transmission; Mr. ********sent a ****** report when he was trying to trade his vehicle in saying transmission "needs service " after we completed the repairs. The customer has an aftermarket exhaust that he was unaware of, because he purchased his vehicle used. We did not do any welding to his exhaust. I tried to get a new one approved, but Mr. ********decided to have his vehicle towed out before ***** **** could come and reinspect. ***** **** came and did a visual inspection of Mr. ********s concerns and fully documented everything. The adjuster quickly noted that the vehicle had an aftermarket exhaust and showed signs of having been recently welded on. Since the customer complained of an exhaust smell we performed a leak test and found that the leak was coming from the areas that were welded. Our repairs only called for us to remove the entire exhaust system as a whole and not do any modifications. We've discussed this with Mr. ********on multiple occasions. Gerry Lane Collision Center, nor ***** **** saw any visible damage to the exhaust system. We are always happy to discuss more with our customers to ensure we do everything we can to get them back on the road safely.Review fromAngelica C

I will never in life want to buy anything from Gerry Lane Chevrolet again. The collision Dept and sales Department has been very ugly and rude to me after I got a vehicle from them. My mom has purchased three vehicles from them and after the purchase we were treated very badly. My mom was called a ****** by someone in the collision Dept. I will never ever want to deal with this company ever again. I don’t like the service at all. Treated so poorly.Gerry Lane Chevrolet
