      The service at the Zachary location is horrible, at least to the black patients. EVERYTIME I try to purchase frames through my insurance I am met with attitude and dismissal. My insurance has not changed in the 10 years I have been a patient there. This time was the worst. I was told, once again, that my insurance will not cover the purchase. Not only did I print out my benefits and show them, I also showed them previous purchases from earlier years when I was told the same thing. They got creative this time and sent a bill the following week. Handwritten at the bottom was “immediate payment due”. When I came in to ask about the bill, I was told my insurance denied the claim, dismissed and told to contact ******* **** in billing. For the next 7 days I called, left voicemail messages at ********* extension. One phone operator said she would email her while I was on the line since she has not returned any of my calls or responded to my insurer who also left a voicemail. After annoying everyone with my daily calls, I was finally transferred to her where I was met with lies about my claim that she never filed. She blew a dog whistle by calling me “aggressive” as she yelled at me and was extremely rude. Ultimately, she was caught in lies about not receiving ANY messages and trying to commit insurance fraud. Today, I called the Zachary location to find out if the bill had been settled. I was told there is no amount due and that I have been expelled as a patient. I am no longer allowed in the building. Somehow, someway, I am not a menace to society because I refused to be scammed and mistreated. This is for the best, because if you think that little of me and can mistreat me in such a way, I definitely want to give you any business. Nor do I want you perform ANY eye care on me or my family.

      My appointment on 6/29/ was for 10 Am & I was done by 11:00 AM. My wife’s appointment was for 10:30 AM & to my surprise she was not seen until 11:15 AM so if we are lucky she might be done by 12:15. This lousy service was provided by your New Roads Location. Perhaps we see Eye Doctors at Ocshner Baton Rouge location next year. Never experienced this problem with DR ******* We were his patience for 23 years.
