I dropped my car off at the establishment it's been there since August 14 2023 for service of theft deterrent system everyday they have been changing the price of the work that was done to my car and adding more things to my bill they have been refusing to give me my vehicle back my car has been there over a week

    Business response

    08/24/2023

Vehicle arrived on the morning of 8/14. We could not get vehicle to start at all. Pushed vehicle into shop. Found theft system active and vehicle did not see either transmitter to start (no remote detected) or worked the locks. Tried to change battery and program both transmitters. No change.

Advised customer the vehicle would not pick up either transmitter. Called customer for authorization. ($325) Installed new receiver. No change.

Contacted customer on needing 2 more transmitters. ($650) Tried to program 2 new transmitters to vehicle. Cannot get transmitters to program. Removed receiver and followed trouble tree to concern.

Found no response from keyless entry control module. Checked external power/grounds and all were fine. Installed and programmed module and attempted to program original transmitters. Will not accept.

Programmed 2 new transmitters to vehicle and was able to get response.

Vehicle now starts fine with no theft concerns. (installed keyless entry module and 2 new transmitters)

Customer does not want to pay for invoice because they were not informed of the last step we performed. (keyless entry module)

(Vehicle will not start without the keyless entry module)

We purchased a 2016 Lexus ES 350 from ***************** Chevrolet in August. On 11/22, someone backed into my car and there was some damage to my bumper that needed to be fixed. The local bodyshop, that our family has used for decades, refused to do the work because he was afraid of what he'd find once he took the bumper down because of how it was cemented onto the car. I contacted the dealership and was told by *** to bring the car over to their body shop. They'd take care of the additional costs associated with the bumper because it somehow was missed during inspection. Today is 1/3 and I was called to pick my car up. Only the labor was subtracted from the total cost of repair, my radio doesn't work, and my display is blacked out. We were told by the body shop to bring it to a Lexus Dealership because they googled it and it's a common problem. Everything was fine before I brought the car in to them. We were told when purchasing that the check engine light was on because of aftermarket headlights. Another shop confirmed it wasn't because of aftermarket lights. It was a communication issue. They knew. The cruise control also did not work. They said nothing about it. We paid over $1700 for these repairs and was told AFTER PAYMENT, they still have to run diagnostics. This is when we were told the display and radio were broken. Come get the car. I called back to the dealership to see how we can return this car because at this point, it's a complete headache and we have no idea what's bound to fall apart next. I am still waiting on a call back from ******.
