      In February 2023, I called Lafayette fence for a quote on a 6’ vinyl privacy fence. I was given a quote of $4500 and a $1500 deposit was required. I paid the deposit on 2/14/2023, an was informed by Patrick ******** with Lafayette fence it would be 2 weeks. A week and a half later I was told by him the materials were in. Then in the following weeks he gave me several indications he was coming to do the fence,but never showed up and several different excuses. So after waiting 2 months he indicated he would give my deposit back. Then wrote me an incorrect check, then said he would bring cash. I have received no fence and no deposit back. All I’m asking is to have my deposit back.

      Mr. ****** had asked for a refund from a custom order. I returned the material and wrote incorrect amount without noticing and bank would not cash it. I did bring him a money order to give him his refund.

      Owner came out to measure and quote on June 14. We verbally agreed for Lafayette Fence to install a fence on our property and paid 50% deposit of $5,825 by check on June 15. We were told work could start in 8-10 weeks. Contacted owner on Nov 14 and he stated he overlooked us and would get us completed ASAP. Contacted him again on Dec 16 and he stated he called to mark utilities and would go to clerk of court to get plat. He did neither of these two things so I did them both and sent him the plat on Dec 20. He said he’d come start prep work that week and fence would be done by new year. I requested a full refund of $5,825 on Dec 31 since he never showed up or contacted me. He stated supplier picked up materials on Jan 6 and he’d refund me once he received refund from supplier. He gave multiple excuses for not bringing the refund check to me. He did send $2,000 by Zelle on Jan 6. Next excuse on Jan 13 was supplier didn’t direct deposit his refund so he was waiting on the check they mailed. On Jan 18 he stated he received the supplier’s check and deposited it on Jan 17. I asked for the money on Jan 21 and his excuse was bank had a 10 day hold on his deposit. I asked again on Jan 27 and have no response. I believe the owner of Lafayette Fence is a scam artist taking peoples’ money and I would like assistance in getting my money $3,825 back.

      In mid march 2022 I contacted Lafayette fence about a fence replacement project at my home. Patrick from Lafayette Fence came out to my home and took some measurements on March 15th and provided a quote to me. I asked about lead time on the project and was told it would be about 6 weeks for the project to be completed. On March 18th, Lafayette Fence contacted me and asked if I was going to use them, so they could schedule that work. I told them yes and paid for the project in full on that day. I contacted Lafayette Fence on April 25th to get an idea of timing as we were nearing the end of the 6 weeks. On May 6th Lafayette Fence told me they could do the work the following week. I removed my existing fence in preparation. They had several issues and could not come out to set posts until June 3rd. There were several more exchanges around timing to get the rest of the fence up and on June 18th they came and did a partial completion. As of writing this today, November 14th, the project is not complete. I have asked multiple times for a refund on the parts of the project that were not completed and have yet to receive one. Text message threads can be shared to validate the timeline. I spent countless hours chasing this to see when the work would be done and ensure I was not forgotten, and it is still not complete. Not sure what is going on, but I can no longer chase this and have decided to file this complaint.

      On August 26th I gave P****** of Lafayette Fence Company a deposit of $4500 to build my fence which was verbally agreed upon and would be completed in 4 to 6 weeks. After waiting 6 weeks for P****** to contact me to schedule the project I called him on October 7th. He stated that he would have to get back with me on the following Monday but I said that was unacceptable and wanted an answer that day. Shortly thereafter he returned my call and said he could come on the following Wednesday October 11 to dig and set the poles which I agreed. However, in the meantime I was explaining the problem to a co-worker and she found Lafayette Fence company listed on BBB with several complaints and one even said that P****** had dug and set their poles and never came back. At that point, I decided to fire P****** and ask for the return of my money. On October 7th he said it would be "no problem" to return my money and he would place a check in the mail that day. However it's October 13th, I'm still waiting for the return of my money.

      5132022 contacted Laf Fence ( with 2 other companies) for bid. P.Guillory (PG) came out 5/13 to prep an estimate. 5/18 PG contacts me stating has vendor with materials ready can expectt to schedule installation in 3-4wks, would need deposit $3225 to secure materials. Pd PG via Zelle over 2 days. Rec'd mess from PG material would be delivered on 6/8, would discuss schedule. 6/22- no word from PG, contacted him, he stated "next week" to get scheduled. 6/30 and 7/5 due to no response, called again 6/22, stated by himself in field, would be nxt week. No response 7/11, 7/14, 7/24 after numerous messages. 8/1- asked status, said trying to wrap up job, defnitely "nxt week" would call on Fri 8/5 for specific day. 8/6 No response demanded an answer. 8/12 came by to survey spot, said he would call me Sun 8/13 to schedule day. No call from PG, I called 8/15 PG no said would set schedule on 8/16. 8/17, no word contacted PG, he states will start on 8/18 at 930. 8/18 9:30 no word, contact him at 11a says running late maybe that afternoon. Had enough, demanded a refund. He said we would get refund after materials shipped and he got his $ back. 8/22 said Vendor did wire transfer of $ would confirm w bank 1st thing nxt morning $ funds available PG said expect full refund 8/23. 8/23- No word from PG called him in afternoon said wire transfer takes 24 hrs would have full refund by Tues 8/30. 8/30 No refund, we demanded to pick up check 8/24. Picked up check and deposited. 8/29 Received notice check BOUNCED at 8am, contacted PG immediately. He stated he was contact bank Branch Mgr immediately and would resolve with cashiers check. I contacted bank at noon, BM stated had not heard from PG yet. 8/30 No status from PG, contacted him, stated he would be at bank 1st thing to get Cashier's check. 8/31 no check, PG said he didn't get to bank was "running around town" and was with wife at hospital would have to get back with us. 9/1- Called PG again for cashier's check, no response.

      I am rejecting this response because it was not resolved satisfactorily.  I did FINALLY receive a refund- it was sent to me in pieces, over the course of 2 days.  And it appears the only reason we finally got some movement on a refund is because I had to tell Lafayette Fence that I submitted a complaint to the BBB.  We had to follow up with him 3 times in September to finally get a refund started on 9/8.  I received no explanation as to why he received a refund full refund from the Vendor in August and I had to wait another month to receive my money- that he had since May.

      We are supposed to have a fence installed. Half of our down payment was made. Thought we would have the fence installation completed by now. Last time my husband and spoke with the worker he's stating due to weather may have to back up installation until winter. When my husband tried contacting him to get an update no one is answering or returning our call/text. I found someone else to do the fence installation. However, unable to speak with anyone with Lafayette Fence to get out refund
