We have paid out $45,327.50 to Carmack's Construction and Remodeling. The project started roughly in August of 2024 and is still unfinished. The contractor started out strong with the project but by Thanksgiving has become a complete nightmare to deal with. I would ask for the schedule of when they were coming because we have dogs to put up and he never would give me firm dates. He started then just showing up sometimes or saying he was coming and never showing up. I finally had to start texting, calling and emailing asking when the project would resume and be finished. I was promised the job would be completed by Christmas and it STILL sits undone. I reached out to the contractor in Wednesday March 5 and asked they he get in contact with my by March 7th at 5pm or I would have to take further action. The contractor then attacked me and said he was done so I took that as he isn't finishing the job and I would like what I feel I deserve back as a refund. I also have those post and text. I also have a message from another patron of Carmack's Construction and Remodeling alleging they are also getting the run around after paying upwards of $50,000. I have attached screenshots of Facebook messages from his wife basically admitting guit, asking me to take the post down but also telling me I will not get the amount of money I feel I deserve refunded.

What would be the next step if the company doesn't respond on your end? Do you just continue to try or is there a statue of limitations? I am just trying to find out what MY next step needs to be short of small claims court.

     Thank you

Payments have fallen behind, so work will not restart until all of the past due is caught up.

    Thank you,
