      My truck was damaged by an insured driver who had Safeway Insurance. The police found the insured driver at fault for the accident. I filed a claim with Safeway Insurance immediately where I spoke with Adjuster Kandice ********. She took my statement over the phone and said there would be a follow-up investigation. The following week I received a text message from Ms. ******** informing me the adjuster found my truck repairable and to mitigate damages, have the truck removed from the wrecker storage yard to a repair shop. I complied with the instructions immediately because I have no transportation. I was told by the repair shop they needed a copy of the estimated damages and who was responsible for the costs. I called Ms. ********'s desk and had to leave a voice message with those instructions. Before the repair shop closed that day, the employee told me they never received the requested estimate of damages. The following day I called Safeway twice, trying to get an some form of answer. NO CALL BACK. At the time of this complaint I received a letter from Ms. .******** informing me that I may incur charges if by truck is not towed from the storage yard. I wasn't the driver at fault in the accident per Covington, LA Police Department, and I should not have to pay any fees associated with this accident when I have attempted numerous times to contact Ms. ********. Additionally, I have been without a rental vehicle because, as I was told by Ms. ******** I should keep receipts of any vehicles I rent. Meaning, use my own credit card to pay the expenses for a car resulting from an accident that wasn't my fault. Safeway Insurance company has a poor record of returning phone calls. Could someone please call me back, provide me and the repair shop with the estimate of damage I requested and the method of their payment to cover the repairs. Very simple.

      I have a vehicle that’s been involved in an accident in June of last year. My vehicle has been in the shop and I’ve been getting the run around with the insurance company.

      My car was stolen in 2022 December. I filed police report Safeway insurance wanted to talk to the driver of the car. He brought the car back to me but I don’t talk to him anymore and I found out where he was. I gave him the address and everything they went over there. They couldn’t get in touch with him so they close my claim. I paid full coverage for my car and they had the police report they had everything they needed and they said that they will not pay for my car to get fixed, all I want is my car fixed

      I called ******** ********* ****** located at **** * ***** *** ********** ** *****, phone number ************ on August 1, 2023 around 11:00 am, and I received a quote from Safeway Insurance for full coverage auto insurance on my 2019 Kia Soul. I paid $234.25 as a down payment over the phone and received my policy electronically in my email on August 1, 2023. I was advised by the representative at ******** ********* that I would receive my first bill from Safeway Insurance on August 30, 2019. I never received a bill so I called ******** ********* on September 5, 2023 to ask why I had not received a bill from Safeway Insurance and I was informed by Kristina that my auto insurance had been cancelled and a pro-rated check had been mailed to me. I asked the reason and when was my insurance cancelled and she informed me that it was cancelled on August 13, 2023, because Safeway Insurance decided not to insure Kia Soul's. I told Kristina at ******** ********* that I knew nothing about the cancellation, and I had not been contacted by Safeway Insurance of the cancellation. I called Safeway Insurance on September 5, 2023 and the representative said that they had cancelled my auto insurance and they do not insure Kia Soul's, and I asked about a check being mailed to me and the representative at Safeway Insurance verified the address where the check was mailed and it was incorrect, and the representative asked that I send an email stating my new address and I did. I emailed Safeway my correct address. My complaint is that I have not had auto insurance since August 13, 2023 because Safeway Insurance never sent me a letter or tried to contact me by email or phone concerning the cancellation, and I have not been able to drive my car because it is uninsured and because of the financial burden of having to have money for another deposit and find an affordable rate that I can afford.

      6/25/2023 This is the worse insurance I've ever seen. My car was totaled 6/25/23 and they have yet to give me a rental. I had everything on my policy, but was denied the use of it. To this day i am still walking. My credit score was 793 due to this I'm in the low 600. This is BS. Then they're trying to lowball me with this appraisal. This is not the end of me!!!!! They did no investigation. Everything was obtained by me. The adjuster told me to pass on my info to her but she never had anything to update me on. The 3 unauthorized occupants in my vehicle committed several felonious activities which hindered the "progress." With all that took place no one was arrested even after i mentioned pressing charges. Now things are at a standstill no calls or anything. I've just about had it. Its hot as hell out here and im walking with several health issues. Asked about a rental again and no response. What if anything can i do. This is really violating my rights as well as stealing my $$ by not allowing me to use benefits. Now im bring told they(unknown occupants) are seeking bodily injuries. WHAT???

      I was involved in a hit and run on August 7th 2022. When I called Safeway on August 7th 2022 their offices were closed because it was a weekend. It is now Saturday, August 13, 2022 and my car is still sitting in front of my door. Every time I call the Tina A***** the person handling my claim she never answers the phone. Cole the appraiser gave Tina an estimate for my car on August 12th, Tina keeps lying staying oh I'm going to send you an email but I've never received that email I am sick of calling Tina trying to get her to stop dragging her feet and move so that I can have my car back this insurance company is subpar and I'm sick of waiting on something that I paid for that I'm entitled to. When you call and ask and speak to a supervisor it's always I have to leave the message with the supervisor but when you leave the message the supervisor never calls you back. I am tired of trying to make these people do their job they are inconvenience in my life the policy was sold to me under false pretenses in the first place. I have rental reimbursement I can't use it because they want you to pay for the rental and then they reimburse you I specifically asked the agent that sold me the insurance policy was that the case he assured me no but now I'm sitting here with the lazy ass insurance agent and sub car insurance. I just want to estimate for my vehicle that I pay for so I can begin driving and living my life and going to work without having to pay people 30 dollars a day to get back and forth. I am not getting any resolutions from the claims department at Safeway. There is nobody to speak with and because it's the weekend the **** office is the closed.

      I am in receipt of a the complaint submitted by ******* *****. 

      Safeway first received notice of this loss on August 8, 2022 at 8:07 a.m. via a telephone call from Tiffany *****. I called Ms. ***** to initiate loss adjustment on the same day at 1:37 p.m. She immediately voiced her frustration with her rental reimbursement coverage, as she was unaware it was a reimbursement policy.  I also apologized if this was not properly explained to her by her agent when she obtained the policy.  I ensured her that we would handle this claim as quickly as possible and assigned an appraiser to inspect her vehicle.  I received the estimate on August 11, 2022 and a check for her vehicle repairs was mailed to her on August 15, 2022.  I regret that Ms. ***** was not happy with her experience but the claim was handled very quickly and I tried to keep her updated on the process.  

      At this time, I am waiting on the police report to determine if there is any available information on the vehicle that struck Ms. *****’s vehicle. Upon receipt of the police report, we will review and determine if the uninsured motorist coverage will apply for any pending injury claim.
