    I ordered Trugreen service last year to help prevent winter weeds from taking over my lawn during the cold spells the winter brings in NE Texas. At the time I ordered service, Trugreen was under the control of their national corporation. They performed my first service at the end of the year (December). The second service was done in February of '24, and this time Trugreen of Texarkana was now a franchise. My lawn was beautiful but had some weeds, and this is why I hired TruGreen. It is now April of '24, and my lawn is getting worse by the day. It is completely destroyed. Over half of the lawn is dead and the weeds have not gone away. I contacted Trugreen on March 28th about the problem and even sent pictures. I was told they would send the photos to a manager and they would get back to me the next week. The following Monday I was told someone would come by my home to look at the damage. It is now April 18th, and no one has come by. I just want answers as to why my lawn is the only one damaged in my neighborhood and why it only became damaged after hiring Trugreen. I paid for my service in December of 2023, but have not paid for the February service because I want them to see the damage and tell me how they will resolve this before I pay for the February service.

    We recently bought this business from the corporate offices of Trugreen. When I got this complaint, I immediately contacted the customer and we visited his property and are making attempts to remedy his complaint. This complaint started before we own this business however, we are trying to make things right with the customer.

    I am rejecting this response because: Trugreen of Texarkana did contact me and asked that I continue to allow them to treat the yard. *****, the owner, contacted me directly. Robert, an employee of Trugreen of Texarkana, visited my yard and explained that the dead areas were just from the weeds that were killed. I do not remember there being that many weeds in my yard that would have caused this much of it to die. I am grateful that the business is making an effort to rectify the situation, but I cannot know if the yard will improve for some time. ****** told me it would take at least 1 year before I see improvement in my lawn. I am only rejecting their response because I cannot know if it will be resolved at this time. Also, ***** mentioned that this problem started before they bought the company. This is partly true. The 1st treatment in December was by Trugreen Corporate, but the 2nd treatment in February, which I still have not paid for because I want to discuss this with them further, was done by Trugreen of Texarkana under this new owner. If the yard recovers, I am satisfied with the company's response. However, I cannot know at this time if that will happen.
