Forest Park Funeral Home began life in 1896 originally as Wellman Funeral Home. Wellman Funeral Home was located at 1202 Louisiana Ave, just south of downtown in a two story white frame home. In 1975, the owners of Wellman Funeral Home decided that it was time to update the facilities and built a new building across the street from the original location.
In 2001, Robert "Bob" Lomison purchased Forest Park East - St. Vincent Ave and Forest Park West - Meriwether Rd Cemeteries, as well as the Wellman Funeral Home. It was at this time that the funeral home's name was changed to match that of the cemeteries. This company offers FUNERAL HOME.
