              I have a maintenance contract with Valentine Mechanical. At the most recent maintenance call, service man said my whole house generator needed a new part. I gave him approval to replace it. Five minutes later, he said that part was not bad, but there 3 other parts that were bad. He said I had to pay $135.00 for that information, even though he did no repair work. I understood that with a contract, labor for maintenance would be covered. Valentine called me today to tell me they were sending someone out to diagnose the problem. When I indicated that diagnosis had already been done and paid for, I was told that the maintenance guy was not qualified to diagnose, and another guy would come and I would be charged another $100 for diagnosis. This is outrageous! What a scam!! I told Valentine that I would not pay another cent for diagnosis, and was told MANAGEMENT required it. I replied that they had scammed me once, but it would not happen again! I will find a reputable company and purchase a new unit. I would like a refund of $135.00 since that fee was charged and I received nothing for it! Thank you!

              OMG, I’m having the exact same issues you’re describing. I entered into a contract with them with the $7500 deposit follow my permit through to approval only to find out they did not have a license to do work in the city of New Orleans. I regret I looked everywhere, but here, because it certainly would’ve changed my mind about doing business with these guys. I currently have an attorney working on this in pursuing other avenues. It’s now 6 months + I’ve requested a refund, no response! Maybe we can all get together and present a unified case against this company.
