Used car purchased on 12/08/2021. A 2014 Audi Q5. On 12/13/2021 my oil light came on after about 500 miles. Went to dealership they sent me to their mechanic who then only topped off the oil. On 12/17/2021 the oil light came on again. He asked me to drop the vehicle off and used a car with dealer plates so he can resolve the issue. The following day I was told it "only burned" 18oz of oil. He continue to state that it is normal that there is no issue with the oil. When in fact there is if the oil light keeps coming on the dash. I was then threatened that if I did not bring back the car with the dealer plate and pick up my car he would in fact report it stolen. I have not even had the vehicle for two weeks & my oil light has been on twice. He even took the car today 12/18/2021 and got the inspection sticker on his own. I feel as if he is not going to fix it. In the state of Massachusetts under the lemon law I have 30 days for them to fix it or take the vehicle back. I'm a single mom of three I do not have the option of just being able to quickly get another vehicle. I just need him to fix it and he's basically denying that there is even a problem in the first place.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/01/20) */ Here at Malkoon Motors we pride ourselves in providing outstanding customer service. We have made every attempt to resolve the issue. As we explained to the customer, the owners manual clearly states, and I quote "Depending on the way the vehicle is driven and the operating conditions, oil consumption can be up to 1/2 quart per 600 miles." The customer drove over 2,000 miles in 3 weeks. The issue with the oil consumption is beyond our control as it clearly states in the manual. Consumer Response /* (3000, 21, 2022/01/31) */ David at Malkoon Motors has not once helped with my issue. His only resolution was to continuously add oil. He states that it's "normal" to burn oil in a 2014 Audi Q5 every 600miles. He's only going off of the manual because he refuses to acknowledge the issue. Upon taking my car to Audi for stage 1 test and stage 2 test of oil consumption. My car is burning at a rate of 1.8 quarts of oil every 1000miles. Meaning a piston and rings needs to be replaced . Now that time as gone by and having to drive my Vehicle to work and doctors appointments now the timing chain has been stretched and the catalytic converter needs replacement. To repair the vehicle the entire cost is 16,250. On a vehicle I spent $17,000 on. They have never took accountability for this problem and the last interaction I had with David I was told to leave the dealership. Once they received their money they have not helped resolve this not once. Business Response /* (1000, 28, 2022/02/18) */ We have offered to resolve the issue with the consumer numerous times. The consumer has DENIED our assistance. We sent the consumer to our mechanic and the consumer would not allow him to look at the vehicle. As far as the oil burning, the consumer has drove an excessive amount of miles resulting in the need to add oil. The consumer brought the vehicle to Audi after driving it for a month and a half putting 4,234 miles on it. We have been put in a difficult situation because now the consumer has had the vehicle for 2 1/2 months. At this point we do not know the condition of the vehicle or how many more miles it has been driven. The last interaction we had with the consumer resulted in the consumer using excessive profanity and being very combative therefore forcing us to ask the consumer to leave our place of business.
