  I had a service call on April 19th by a tech from Muirfield Mechanical services to come troubleshoot a low pressure issue that was causing the Ideal boiler to shut down. I explained what has been happening but at the time of the visit the system was functional. The tech indicated he would write up a quote for a repair yet wasn't sure he knew the root cause. I was charged $265 for the visit and then provided a quote for $527.91 with nothing noted as what work would be done. In the meantime I sent some pressure readings of before and after when the system shuts down which is happening every two days approximately. I have to manual release air in order to restore the system.In the email I asked if the $265 would be deducted from the blank estimate and have not received a response in now over two weeks. Disappointed with the lack of customer service and follow-up especially based on the other reviews on the BBB website.

  They were pleasant and professional from the moment we contacted them, and the installation happened quicker than we expected. They explained the entire process so that we could understand it, were punctual, and made sure we had all our questions answered. We would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

  We contracted with Muirfield to install a Bosch heat pump for our heating and cooling needs using existing duct work. We enrolled in the MassSave program for this project. We have a two-story house with six large rooms with nine-foot ceilings totaling about 1,700 square feet. We found Muirfield through ****** ********* ********* where they were rated highly for quality and price. Before selecting Muirfield, we also talked with and received quotes from three other reputable firms recommended by friends. The Muirfield installation team worked effectively and efficiently and took time to answer our questions as they worked. We had a minor problem after the project was completed with a piece of ducting coming loose. Muirfield responded promptly and took care of the issue. Muirfield subcontracts their electrical work, using the same contractor for most projects. Their subcontractor also worked efficiently and effectively and their work included upgrading our electric service to 200 amp. Including that upgrade in our project probably contributed to the uneven communication between Muirfield and their electrical subcontractor. Muirfields office staff were great: efficient, responsive, and friendly. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience working with Muirfield and the new heating/cooling system they installed.

  Muirfield Mechanical Services installed a heat pump HVAC system at our house that tied into our existing air ducts. We were pleased with every stage of the job. At the initial visit, the tech person explained clearly what our options were. He specified an economic and efficient solution, which is why we chose them. During the installation, the techs were professional and courteous, and did an excellent job. I have already recommended this company to friends.

  Muirfield Mechanical Services recently installed heat pumps in my single family home. From the initial appointment to the very last installation day, all staff were professional, informative, helpful & respectful of our space. Each day they left the work space clean and exactly the way it was when they got here. The price was right where I expected it to be and they were very transparent with the work that was being done. The office even helped me with the rebate paperwork! I highly recommend this company! You will not go wrong having them install and maintain your heating/cooling system.

  Shopping for heat pumps can seem daunting. I chose Muirfield because:They were one of the installers recommended by my town's energy conservation initiative From my research, ********** seemed to be the preferred brand and Muirfield had this in stock. Some other installers did not.Their price was competitive. Price comparisons can be problematic, because different suppliers quote on different configurations and brands.They returned email and phone calls Their installation crew seemed knowledgeable and professional When I was ready to commit to the project, they moved very quickly. The time between my sending a deposit and a finished instillation was eight days, though this is probably quicker than usual.They made a few decisions such as placement of the cables and of the compressor, which were not quite as I expected. This was a relatively minor matter.

  Muirfield Mechanical did a great job installing my new 7-zone heat-pump into my contemporary home. The project manager came out to my house twice, once for the first look, and the second time to take a better look after I cleaned out some closest. I wanted to route the refrigerant lines inside as much as possible and limit the lines run outside of the house to a small area. He came up with a great plan and talked me out of a bunch of expensive options reducing the cost of my system a lot compared to other contractors I talked to. Then the PM had the installers come out to makes sure the install was feasible. None of the other companies I talked to put this much effort into design. The final design had all positive drains and required no drain pumps with the lines run in the closets. Only one small part of the wall behind a door needed to be opened up.I had two weeks open where the install was going to be much easier on me, and they juggled their schedule and crews to make that small window of opportunity work. The demo crew did a nice job taking out the old AC unit and hauling off some old duct work. They did a nice job removing the sheet-rock so repairing the wall was easy. The installers ran into a problem where a joist was in the way, and they careful worked around the joist spending nearly half a day putting in a very clean hole because it was going to be visible. I needed some of the drain pipes to be re-routed for future work, and they did a great job redoing some of the install and made the final drain-pipe routing perfect. They also used high-quality line-hide which looks much nicer than what Ive seen on other homes in the area.

  Muirfield Mechanical replaced an old AC unit with a Mitsubishi Heat pump. The installation went very well. Planned the job with *********************** (project manager) and was installed by his team **** and ****. They showed up on time and were very professional and efficient. Highly recommended.****

  Excellent experience working with Muirfield Mechanical Services to install a central heat pump in my older home - highly recommend them. The team did high quality work, kept everything tidy inside and out and spent extra time with me to program the thermostats and explain how the system will work in conjunction with my existing gas boiler. One of the team members came back a few days later to ensure everything was in good order and ***** in the office got me set up with a heat loan and helped me to apply for the tax rebate. This was 5 star experience!

  Great workmanship. **** was extremely informative and delivered on what was explained.Installation team was very prompt and provided amazing service. Highly recommend if you have an HVAC need.
