Back 2024 I have been sending checks to perch energy . They say they haven't gotten them and want me to send one big check of ******. I said I would but I will have to cancel the other checks and I checked with the bank and they said it would be ***** for each check i cancel. So I said I would take that off and send them the check. They said no I have to send full amount. I don't want to risk this. I've called several times. I've got multiple complaint files. And they never call me back. I've been trying to resolve this forever.

I was approached by a representative on behalf of Perch Energy in November of 2024, stating a local solar farm was being connected to the power grid in my area and I should receive a discount on my energy bill within a few months. Well!!! it's been over four months, and no discount has been received, my utility cost keeps going up, and to make matters worse, the number to Perch's customer care center does NOT WORK!!! I am very disgusted with this company.

Perch Energy (solar *** recently bought out Solar Gardens, which was originally Syncharpha. I am set up for autopay. For my first invoice, Perch deducted payment at the end of the billing cycle, which is 2 weeks before the due date.- received email with invoice 2/18 - invoice date 2/6/25 (doesn't show billing period dates beginning x, ending y)- due date 3/7/25 - autopay scheduled 2/21/25 Further, I have to go back and read my original contract with . I'm being charged only one cent less than utility rate AND they're making money off of me early.I contacted customer service and received the typical off-shore hard to hear phone room with the overly thankful (oh, thank you so much for giving me your street address!) yet not helpful response that Perch processes at the end of the billing cycle. Then they called back the next day (I think) and basically repeated the same information because I still wasn't happy. The early deduction may or may not be legal, but it is smarmy regardless.

Door to door sales enrolled me in this community solar program over a year ago promising discounts on our electric bill within a few months time. Over a year later, after I enrolled in a new company and already received credits from the 2nd company, Perch sent me a bill and credited my electricity account. Due to a cap on the amount of solar credits permitted, upon receipt of the email bill on 11/20/24, I immediately cancelled my agreement with Perch Community Solar by email. I received a confirmation email and phone call from the company that my request had been received, but the email stated, Please note that a delay of up to 90 days from the date we receive your termination notice is possible. Changes to community solar allocations can only be made once per month which may impact your local utilitys ability to cease allocating monetary credits to you immediately.90 days is completely unreasonable and terrible customer service. I have been billed three times and short of cancelling my debit card, cannot stop them from billing me. Please warn consumers about their 90 days, which for me will likely mean 4 billing statements AFTER cancellation.

    Good Evening,

Thank you for contacting Perch Energy regarding ******** ********* concerns. In November 2024, we received a request to cancel the customer's ********************************************* subscription. We emailed a cancellation request acknowledgment, notifying the customer that we would cancel the account and coordinate with the local utility to stop sending monetary credits to her electric bill. Ms. ********* community solar subscription has been canceled, and the local utility has removed the customer's account from the ********************** project.

Please note that our ************* team attempted to contact Ms. ******* on February 5, 2025, and February 6, 2025, but we were unsuccessful in our outreach. Ive been talking to people in my community and Im worried I fell for a scam. On June 8, 2024 on I talked to someone who knocked on my door about Perch Community Solar. He told me I would get a discount on my energy bill if I signed up. I didnt think too much about it in the moment, and I didnt think I signed up for anything at the time because I thought I just gave them my contact information and I never followed up, but looking back I am realizing my energy bill is slightly higher than it used to be. Not by much, but Im worried that its going to hit me to be a lot more money one of these months. How can I know if Im signed up for something or not?
