Though I entered into a contract with BBS - Best Boston Singles in June of 2022 - the service period was expected to be a year or more.In June 2022, the sales person, *************************** told me there were over 900 men in my demographic in their database that would suite me and that making a match, much less many matches, would be easy and my $7000 fee would certainly pay off. I understand that matches may not work out but I was guaranteed 8 matches. "Matches" are those that closely meet my desires and criteria. The first two matches were a complete "miss" and I gave that feedback. The third match was closer, but the guy chose not to date more than twice.BBS told me they would contact me monthly to give me an update on match work they were doing, even if they didn't have a date for me. I have not heard from them via email or phone since May 2023. I reached out via email requesting a phone call on 5/23/23, 6/25/23 and 7/5/23 with no response.The satisfaction I seek is a refund. 8 matches for $7000 is $875/match. So 5 undelivered matches = $4,375. They have gone silent on me and I strongly request your help to secure a more-than-fair refund. thank you for your help.Initial Complaint

I lost my wife about a year and a half ago In the beginning of November, I went to Boston best singles. I met her at her office in ********** and talking to her for about two hours. She implied that she already had somebody lined up for me to meet that would be perfect for me. She asked me for $6900 which I gave her the next day. I talked to an interviewer for about an hour. They informed me its 17 people that will look at my application or take 6 to 8 weeks before they could find somebody for me after thinking that over I decided this dating service wasnt for me. It took me three days of calling before they answered the phone did find me there was no refund and read the fine print on the contract, I explained that I only spent three hours with the time and be more than willing to pay for this. They told me they would not get a refund, the only thing they would do is hold my account for future use. He completed his profile 6 days after he enrolled, with the relationship specialist and he never mentioned his desire to cancel to her. We did try calling him back many times, however his voicemail was full so we started texting him first which allowed ** to get him on the phone. We spoke to ***** and explained we have no timeline on his program and we focus on quality. .We do not have any fine print on our agreement. We also make sure all new clients know this is a non refundable agreement. We would love to get him out on some great dates.Initial Complaint

It is now March 26th, 2023 since I signed up for this scam dating services/membership since November 2022. No one from Best Boston Singles has contacted me yet regarding a match. I have called on several occasions during the month of December 2022 and January 2023 enquiring about the service, and every time that I called someone from Boston Best Singles would called me back from an unknown phone number trying to talk me out of cancelling the service and promised me that the team is working hard to find me a match. It has been 6 months now I have not heard a word from anyone. I am no longer interested in this service. When I met ******* the sale representative on Nov 5th, 2022, she seemed very sincere and honest regarding the success of the service and I was very hopeful, I guess she is very good at what she does best which is scamming people for their money.I have contacted *********** requesting a refund of the two payments of $4,250.00 made on 11/05/2022 and December 09/ 2022 for a total of $8,500.00, unfortunately with their scam agreement, they did not refund my money. I have emailed and called Best Boston Singles on several occasions without any success. The last rep ******** that I spoke with last week stated that they will find me a match very soon but he is unavailable now. ******** offered me a refund of $4250.00 which I found totally absurd and asked her why should I lose $4250.00 plus all the interest that I paid to my credit card. Until today 03/26/2023 I have not heard from them. They are a bunch of frauds and scammers, out there scamming people for their money. I need your help to resolve this matter. We spoke to Dr ***** on 3/23 offering a settlement in which her credit card company had deemed fair to resolve her chargeback or we offered to move forward with her program. She chose to move forward. We had a great match picked out for her prior to her account being placed inactive during the chargeback process. We called her chosen match on 3/23 and let her know he does travel so it may take a few days for him to respond. We are closed on the weekends and we received her BBB complaint on 3/26 which is a Sunday. We have called her many times over her program and have all calls documented. We would love to get her out on some great dates.Customer Answer

Re: Refund from Best Boston Single
I disagree with the response of Best Boston Singles. On March 22, 2023, I communicated to ******** that I no longer wish to participate in their program. Best Boston Singles is an untrusted organization in which I cannot rely on. Evidently, they have only one potential match for me, and their explanation for his unavailability is that he is constantly traveling. I enrolled in their program on November 5, 2022, and five months later, today April 5, 2023, there have been no matches. I demand that they Simply return my entire payment; I do not want the half of my payment that ******** offered to return to me on 03/22/2023. The last time I spoke with ******** was on March 22, 2023,which is contrary to their response. Nobody has called me. I sent them multiple emails but received no response (see below for the screenshot). First, if they attempted to call me, why did I never receive a voicemail and why did they not send me an email? I do not intend on doing business with a fraudulent organization such as Best Boston Singles. I demand a refund of the $8500.00 that I paid so that I may continue my life.

1/10/22 I purchased a package at the cost of $7,000 for a personal match making service, "Best Boston Singles". I am fully aware that I signed a contract stating this purchase was non-refundable. My issue is they have not provided the services promised. I was told at my initial meeting with client services that they have hundreds of men in their database that would match with the requirements that I requested. This statement at the initial sales pitch was either untrue or client services has made no effort to make the connections. I have written of my frustration as well as spoken on the phone to client services each time I was then immediately matched up with someone. Those matches were far from meeting my criteria - Marital status, physical location, children, etc. the list goes on. This happened three times and other than that there has been no communication other than an infrequent email stating they're still looking. I really feel like they took my money and ran! Communication is incredibly frustrating- phone calls go to voicemail and they refuse to communicate through email. Its been over a year and they have not provided the services that I paid for. I have thoroughly attempted to resolve this matter on my own. They refused to discuss anything through email- in our last phone call I was told that my request for a refund would be brought to the team and they would get back to me last week. When I did not hear back I reach out through email saying that if I did not have a response from them regarding the matter I would be contacting the BBB for help. To that I received no response. Best Boston Singles uses two way matching to increase our clients chances of chemistry. This means the matches that are put together fulfill the long list of requirements that both parties are looking for in a match.. We also look at distance.
We do not have a timeline on the program and it is based on referrals and not time, they do not expire. We do not match for the sake of sending a referral. We focus on quality vs quantity. If we feel that a match would be great that is outside of the client's preferences, we will call our clients and ask them to decide.
We also document every call. We have spoken to the client 27 times on the phone and sent 14 emails over the course of her program. We do prefer to speak on the phone since emails are not as personal and can be misunderstood. She was also on hold for 4 months during her program.
We get feedback from both parties to have insight on how the date went and how to fine-tune for future referrals. Her feedback and the gentleman's feedback on her both show multiple dates and connections made.
After connections made, She has not completed her program to state it isn't working. It is always explained that there will be ebbs and flows and you must complete the program for optimum results. We would love to continue working with her for that desired outcome.
