I got my vehicle repaired at the body shop but the paint is either contaminated or overspray there are bumps/bubbling on my paint where they "fix"Business Response
Date: 11/21/2024
Good morning,
Our body shop manager met with ***** and her daughter on 6/4/24 on the concern of the paint. At that time, it was explained to them that the area that was authorized by the insurance company was repaired and when doing so they pay for what's called blending into the surrounding panels. (If you just painted the area where the repair was done the new paint would stick out against the old paint and it would be very obvious that a repair was done, therefore they do what is called blending and fade the paint and the clear coat onto surrounding panels. No dings, scratches, nicks are fixed as they are not part of the claim the insurance pays for.) as a result, sometimes the existing chips or scratches are amplified by the new paint
This was explained to them and suggested to reach out to the insurance company as they are the ones who authorizes or denies the claims.
Please reach out with any further question.
Thank You

I am a customer of Curry Honda in ********. I purchased a 2016 honda crv from them. When I purchased the car it came with a wheel lock set and a rack in the trunk that had tools for the spare tire. The rack was made of a black foam like material and had a space on it for each tool. The wheel lock tool was on top of the rack as well. Recently while repairing a flat i noticed some things missing. My wheel lock tool was gone which I needed to get the wheel lock off. I was also missing the foam tool rack that came with the car. Instead, my tools were placed in a sack and put next to the spare tire. I called the company to explain the situation and spoke to several people. I tried to get someone to come with a wheel lock and they told me they do not send techs out. After pushing they finally sent someone. This person had to go back and forth twice to find a wheel lock tool to get the tire off. I showed him that I was missing the lock tool and the rack. Afterwards I spoke to service reps, a service manager and the building manager to get the materials replaced. Everyone I spoke to was very condescending and made it seem like the situation was my fault. I was told the mechanics do not use customers tools and they would not have gone in my trunk. However, in the past they have replaced tires for me and put the spare back in the trunk which would require someone moving things around in my trunk and putting it back in its place. I explained to them that its highly possible that someone took these things out and forgot to put them back in. They kept giving the same excuses and even suggested that I possibly left my car open and someone stole the rack and wheel lock. I was told i needed to show them what was missing despite already showing the tech that came to my home everything that was missing. I was told until i showed them what was missing it would not be replaced. I missed 2 days of work for this between getting the tire off and getting a new one ordered and installed.Business Response

This seems silly as this could have been resolved over a month ago when he originally reached out to me with his concern, and I asked him to come see me for five minutes. He told me he is very busy I said OK I understand just let me know when works best for you. That was the last we heard from him. He lives 1.2 miles from the dealership, at the time I asked him to come see me I had two 2016 CRV's in stock that I could replace whatever was missing and he would be on his way. When he first reached out, he left me a VM that four things missing, he was upset when I asked him to stop by so I could take a look because he had already told a technician what he believed was missing. And in his above statement it's a wheel lock and a black foam tool holder and his tools were put in a sack.
reviewed his records and he is a good customer that's frustrated with the situation.
Willing to help out and resolve. He needs to call ********************* ************ Ex **** and well make arrangements to meet and get this issue taken care of.
Thank you,

I bought my car to curry Honda to get my mirror fixed.they took my car apart to fix the mirror and as a result, my seat belt and radio don't work properly curry Honda had my car for 123 days and did not give me my car in the order I gave them mirror still brokeBusiness Response

Her insurance company is the one that stopped the repair on her car due to the fact that the car had previous repairs under the driver's seat where all the harness wires have been cut and spliced together instead of properly being replaced.
The seat belt chime is a totally separate wire harness and has nothing to do with the mirror repair as that is tied to SRS and is a separate wiring harness from the mirror.
She was advised of the only way to properly move forward would be to have the harness replaced as some of these issues may possibility be caused by an improper repair.
It being a Nissan she was talking with our Nissan Store and had seen a picture of what the wiring looked like and what was going on and gave her a rough est. of **** to replace the wiring harness.
I also just ran car fax and it tells me the car she purchased was listed as TOTAL LOSS VEHICLE -water damage. Salvage title a couple of months be for she purchased it.
(Which probably explains the improper wiring repair)
There is a reason insurance companies total these cars when they've been under water as it can have effects on vehicles for years.

We will not be providing any assistance on this vehicle. Titles say salvage weather it was structural, fire, or water. We performed a very basic repair. A motor cycle broke the vehicle drivers mirror.
To repair this you remove the door panel and unplugged a 3 wire pin connector unbolted the broken mirror and installed the new mirror and plugged the 3 wire connector back in. and reinstall the door panel. Both mirrors (including the passenger one) would just fold in as this is an option on this vehicle. The new aftermarket mirror that her insurance company authorized and her passenger mirror would not adjust up or down or side to side. So the first thing that is common between the both of them is the mirror adjustment switch that is located on the lower dash bezel just to the left of the steering wheel . So the insurance company agreed to replace it, which we did and had the same results. The insurance company then authorized a factory OEM mirror thinking the aftermarket one wasn't communicating correctly. So we ordered the factory one which was on back order but eventually came in. Plug that one in with the same results.
At this point and time they have us start pulling electrical schematics. (Schematics tells us wear all the wires run through the car and what components ( control units) they tie into and where to wire harness plug into each other). I make this sound easy when actually there is a lot a work into tracing wire and measuring inputs and out puts. and while doing so it leads us to a connector under the drivers seat. so once we unbolted the seat this is where we find at some point and time of this vehicles life someone has cut out a very big connector from both sides of the harness and had used wire connectors to reconnect everything. This is no little wiring harness like the 3 wire mirror connector. This is body control harness, srs, seats, mirror, fuel, ect. See attached image.
Weather this from the salvage or just a really bad repair at some point in the cars history which was done before she owned the vehicle as she she know nothing about this.
Either way this is where her insurance company says they will no longer pursue this issue. And the same for us as we have time in this vehicle that the insurance company nor the customer has compensated us for.
We recommended her to go to Nissan and once we described the issue and showed them pictures their first recommendation was to replace the harness. Which is very costly.
As we understand her frustration, but this is nothing that was caused by our repair facility.

I brought my 2014 Honda CRV to Curry Honda on June 16, 2022 for a torque conversion replacement. The part was on backorder. My 8-year warranty, which would cover this part, expired on July 12, 2022. The part came in August 4,2022 and now Honda and/or Curry Honda will repair my car with "good will assistance" but I have to pay a $1,000 deductible. The warranty should cover the entire cost, I brought the car in before the warranty expired, and it wasn't my fault that the part was on backorder. I have been in constant contact with Curry, always an excuse that they had to check with someone, meet with someone, putting the blame on Honda, when Curry did the paperwork wrong and Honda won't honor the warranty because it expired.Business Response
