Hi, We reserved a venue on February 4th and gave the $250 deposit for a baby shower 5/19. The contract was signed from 3pm to 7pm, one hour before to set up and one hour after to clean up. On april 11th 8pm the function hall associate reached out via text message to let us know that their was a error and the time needed to be changed from 4-8 or 5-9pm. April 12th the function hall associate stated that we can only do 5-9pm with set up time 4pm.We informed the representative that we signed a contract. The associated mentioned that "The hall needs to have renovations in the kitchen", this was April 12th. We started to look for another venue but we were unsuccessful due to the late notice. April 15th, the representative told us that the set up time was 4:30pm instead of 4pm. April 26th the $600 remaining balance was paid for the hall, by us. May 17th, we asked if we can set up before 4:30pm because we had a lot to decorate prior to our event. The representative responded by text saying that the hall was not available until 5pm. Communication by text message. Hall representative did not respond. May 19th we entered the hall at 5:10pm and a prior party was in the hall still cleaning up after the event. We started to decorate our hall as both party's overlapped for 20min. After setting up the food and decorations, no bar attendant was present. One of our guest entered the bar area and grabbed paper towels, as the bar door was unlocked. The paper towel was used to clean up water. The bar tender came to the first floor after we requested for help around 5:45 approximately. During the event one of the children dropped a slice of cake on the floor. My husband clean up the cake frosting at the end of the night with paper towels. we cleaned the hall and removed the trash. At the end of the night my husband recorded the venue's, "clean condition" for evidence. Recording saved and available to see. They refuse to return our $250 deposit. multiple excuses used.
