Date of Installation of the new Heat exchange: 1/21/2023 Installer: Oilman I got my heat exchange replaced by him and his technician did a wrong connection. When I started the ** the fuse bew off and the thermostat became invalid. I had to hire another guy paying additional $300 to get it fixed. Oilman did not take responsibility of the mistake and denied it and did not pay me the money. I have pasted the text from *********** who came to connect my ** since it was not done by Oilman as per the contract "You had a blown fuse, the result of a thermostat control wiring error as shown in this picture, where the green wire for the fan was tied to common and not to G, where it belongs (screen shot below)Green is now in the correct place, as shown in the screen shot below.The bad news is that before the error blew the control fuse on the board, it managed to burn out your thermostat; I got the heat to run by jumping out the control wiring on the board, thereby bypassing the thermostat, so I did get to see what you described, which is what I suspected and what I mentioned as the probable cause, which is a delayed ignition, resulting in the combustion chamber loading up with oil, then suddenly igniting, leading to the kaboom, and the odor of combustion gas in the basement, so I will return to address that"The new HV** guy gave me an Invoice for $500 ($300 for the fix, remaining $200 was for the ** fix etc) which included the fix stated above. This is no fault of mine but the OIlman installer you was designated for this job did not do the connection correctly. Oilman refused to take responsibility for the incorrect connection and bear the cost. I dont have so much spare money to spend. I already spend a fortune of around $6K for the hear exchange I need Oilman to reimburse me $300 for the mistake the installer guy did for which I had to hire another person
