      Agree with *****'s review below - our mom passed in April after paying her Penn Treaty Policy for decades. Every time we jump through the hoops they give us, they create more hoops or say they didn't receive information we have provided over and over and over. Major scam artists - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!Hopefully they go out of business soon so they are no longer allowed to prey on the older generation and steal from their fixed incomes.

      This company is nothing short of RIP OFF CITY ! My mother paid into her Penn Treaty Policy for decades. When she got sick, they did everything they could to get out of paying. As her power of attorney, they required document after document from me and even after providing everything, everything was always 'under review'. They continued drawing premiums from her bank account even though they were to have stopped after she started receiving benefits (which of course don't start for 30 days) For premium waver to take place, a minimum of five days of continuous care must take place for THREE MONTHS. One minor coding error on the CARE LOG from your provider and it RESETS the clock back to 0. WHAT A SCAM !!! Even after your health care provider fixes the coding, its 'oh were sorry, the Care Log wasn't completed properly' and your endless battle just gets uglier until you just fold.Do yourself a favor. Don't buy this ripoff insurance. Its not worth it, and your family will be drivin crazy trying to collect on it. Twenty five years of paying premiums followed by six months of collecting, minus the one month exclusion period, just doesn't make good financial sense. Put your money in a separate fund that you control for this purpose and save your family the heartache of this abuse.

      My mother has been paying on this policy since ****. She recently went into assisted living and it has been a nightmare for me to try to get money for her care. This company is a joke! Something needs to be done to hold them accountable I feel like they robbed my mom of thousands of dollars.

      Evil is a word that comes to mind. Over the decades my father spent tens of thousands of dollars to only be denied and to make his family and care givers jump through ridiculous hoops for that. This should be shut down as a scam and everyone who made money from it fined every cent they made.

      My dad had chose this company years ago and had it for *********************************************************************** a care center.I have spend numerous hours on the phone as well as the care center office ,resending,rewritng and refaxing,or sending emails, it is ridiculous. Seems if a I isn't dotted or a t crossed it holds the payment up. The staff all work out of their homes,so you end up talking to a diffrent person every time you call.Where if they would work in a office more communication would be better.The employees were pleasant and did help.But I feel when my dad paid into this company for 20 years on time,we deserved to also have our payments on time ever month and not have to jump hoops to get paid.so I would never reccomend this company. ***** U

      They are terrible. Every month I have to jump through hoops to get claims paid for my Dad. I can't imagine an elderly person trying to navigate this frustrating process. Every time I call they need something else that they didn't ask for the time I called before. They don't respond to email. Honestly should be ashamed of the way they operate. They make me feel that they hope I get so frustrated that I just give up on collecting on what my parents paid for. Just brutal.

      Horrific, Horrible.....Been trying to get reimbursed for over (6) mos. One hand doesn't know what the other is dong. They reject processing claims over the tiniest things like I used s checkmark instead of an "x" on Statement of Care form. It has been a miserable experience. If I cld rate them a minus rating I would.

      My parents had their policy for over 20 years when I had to file a claim for my dad. A month after filing his claim they doubled both my mom and my dad's monthly policy cost. It took 3 months before we would receive our first payout, but I will say that once you are approved they do pay promptly. I filed my mom's claim in June of ***************************** October 2021 and we have yet to receive any payment. They will send something out to the facility that my parents are at and they find a small thing to say isn't correct and then take another week to send out a letter asking for a correction. This has happened over 5 times on my mom's claim. Something that could easily be taken care of with one phone call is taking months because they do everything via email/fax and take weeks to send those out and then process the forms sent from the facilities. Although you can get through to someone on the phone most times, if you are having any issues they will not allow you to talk to anyone who could move your claim along like a manager. They will tell you that they have ***** business days to handle it before they will escalate it and then they just send out another form to the facility to restart the ***** business days. I would not recommend them if you do not have a lot of money to be able to pay out before your claim is approved. They do not care about you or your loved one as a person, you are simply a source of monthly money.
