    I went to USA Auto to look for a vehicle to purchase, I came across a 2014 Dodge Journey SXT AWD, the asking price was $7500.00, I offered $6000.00 cash & the salesman said he needed to get the ok from the owner. I went there with my brother & after leaving I decided to go back & say that I would be willing to offer more if the repairs were made due to the check engine light coming on during the test drive. The salesman called me back the following week & said that the check engine light issue was fixed & it was only a loose connection with the oxygen sensor. So I went back to the dealership to buy the vehicle, I asked them how much are they willing to sell it to me for because when I gave my initial offer the salesman said that the owner laughed at my offer. When I said that the salesman claimed that he did not say that & they would accept my offer of $6000.00 for the vehicle. 5 weeks after purchasing the vehicle the check engine light came back on, so I got it checked and it turned out to be the transmission. When I went to the owner of the business he wanted to check the vehicle for himself & said it was one of two other parts needed to be replaced. He told me that I needed to buy parts myself & have someone else install them & if that part wasn't the issue that he would buy & install the other one. I went to a shop to schedule an appt to have the part that I purchased installed & that's when I found out it was neither of the parts he said was wrong but the transmission needed to be replaced. The mechanic called the owner of the dealership to tell him what was going on with the transmission. He said there was nothing wrong with it & that he was not going to help me with the costs of the repairs. The transmission replacement cost me $3774.20. I feel the owner deceived me with the initial check engine light that was on when I test drove the vehicle. I feel the owner took advantage of me because of my disability (Autism) & lack of knowledge on auto mechanics.
