I received a Loan for a Heat Pump through a state incentive with Align. I am grateful for the 0% interest rate because of the state income. Align's branches are generally well-staffed to help. However, I have had disappointing experiences with this Credit Union on many levels. Banking/Loan: One is only able to pay into the loan through an account. they offer you a savings account. However, there is no way to add money to it from a different bank; the alternative would be to go to a branch to pay. There, you must pay in cash. The online banking functions are miserable. Often, direct deposits are not recognized, and I get logged out of my account for no reason. It is impossible for you to retrieve your account number for daily banking. ***************** I had tried to make my first payments and had trouble adding money to the account via online banking, and no one explained to me the situation about saving accounts not being eligible for outside transfers. I went to the branch and asked to help me. Ultimately, I received a late payment on my credit. One time, I had trouble logging in, and I contacted a customer service agent (******) asking me to help me log in, and I received a brief answer: no. In short: If you need a bank/Credit Union that offers you tools for daily banking, good customer service, and is helpful, don't become a member at Align Credit Union!
