On August 24, 2022 - Concrete Garage Roof job in ****** ************* was performed by Master Seal Roofing Company incorrectly. 48 month warranty was promised. When fix was requested, they only came back once after multiple scheduled times to show up. When they did finally show up, they claimed to need more supplies and asked for more money. Again multiple attempts to have them come back was fruitless. After speaking with the boss, ******, I requested a Refund of the $2000 cash for payment for the job. My concrete garage roof still leaks. I explained that their own GacoRoof brochure indicates that at least two layers are required after the first layer had dried (attached as back up in this claim). Workers painted over tape that was peeling off the concrete garage roof instead of removing it first. No second coat was applied after the first coat dried. ****** indicated that he would refund my money. We scheduled for him to return to give me my refund between 12:30pm and 1:30pm on Friday, September 23rd. When he didnt show by 12:45pm I called him. He indicated he had until 1pm, but then told me he didnt have the money, because the checks he deposited had not cleared. He said he definitely would come back on Monday, September 26th, and the checks would clear by then. I had said if he didnt show, I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. He never showed up, never called. Now I'm SEEKING DAMAGES:1.CASH REFUND OF $2,000 for payment in full of job. Contract attached in this claim.2.$1500 DAMAGES because its going to cost us an additional $1,500 to undo the sealant coat that they already put on. With the weather getting cold and the temperatures plummeting, this will cause further damage to our garage. Furthermore, because they wasted our time and took our money and had us stay at home and wait for them to show up without any kind of consideration to our time. 3.Master Seal Proofing needs to be more responsible in how the conduct their business.Customer Answer

I have contacted Master Seal Roofing to fix leaking on my balcony porch of my home at ****************************************************. They have given me estimation of $2,500 cost to fix it on August 17, 2022. I have agreed it with a signed contract on same day, and made $1,500 deposit to ******************************* to start the work next day. However after my numerous attempts to ask them to start the job, they finally came to my home 4 days later, and stated that porch can't be fixed and instead it must be re-installed and asked $3,000 more on top of $2,500 (total of $5,500) which I declined due to their failure to give proper estimate on August 17th. 2022. Since then I have been trying to reach out to them to get my $1,500 deposit back, however, I have been given too many excuses by them via phone, mostly I am not getting any answer to my calls. Recently, I wrote a demand letter requesting them to pay back my deposit in 10 days, however, I have not gotten any payment back after 10 days. I found out this company always do same approach to receive deposit from home owners and do poor work or nothing and never payback.Business has been registered to ****** of ******** Affairs and *************** of ** under his wife's name ***************************** with registration number of ****** and can be found at following address https://services.oca.***********/hic/licenseelist.aspx I am attaching signed contract, copy of delivered certified mail of Demand Letter, and copy of $1,500 check paid to *******************************Customer Answer

****** from master seal roofers came in December 2020 to repair a rubber roof and I signed a contract for a rubber roof tube up that included repair around skylight in addition to other things that are specified in the contract. The contract has a 5 year warranty. In July 2021, the roof leaked again around the skylight and vents and after having to call several times and deal with several no shows, they finally showed up and claimed to have fixed the leak in skylight. In august 2022 the skylight began leaking again and as this is covered under a 5 year warranty, I have called again several times and emailed twice with no response from the company. This is negating the contract and nothing that was supposed to be fixed was given the fact that it is still leaking. I have attached the contract with this company here. I posted a ****** review about this company tk try to save others from spending their hard earned money to their company and they posted a very untruthful response that was a complete lie which they know and a bit aggressive so I do not wish to have any further communication with this company as I dont feel comfortable trying to speak directly to them any longer and clearly their objective is not to help resolve this. I would like a refund or at least a partial refund given the circumstances and that I spent my money on something that was not done properly and a contract that was not honored. I have reached out to a second roofer to come look at the problem. He told me that the fix done by master seal Was improperly with kitchen style caulking and wasnt going to work to keep the skylight from leaking. I am now having to have it done again and having to pay another company to do it properly to prevent further damage to my roof/home. I would like some sort of refund for this poor quality work, neglect of a warranty and basic abandonment of a job as no one has called or gotten back to me after this second leak.Customer Answer
