1 starI bought a mixer at BJ's in *******. The regular price was $199.99 and on sale for $159.99. They charged me $14 tax on the full price not the sale price. Later, I returned the mixer and to my surprise they only refunded me $11.20 for the tax because now they applied the tax on the purchased price instead. I was shortchanged by $2.80. I brought it up to the store manager and all he could say was there's nothing he could do about it. I contacted BJ's customer service and told them what ********************** did was not right. They said they'd forward my complaint to the tax division. Months later, no one called. I filled out their survey and gave them a very bad review. Again, no one reached out to me. I never felt so disgusted with a company like BJ's. Their public relations *****. They obviously do not care about their members. What they're doing with the tax thing is fraudulent in my opinion. No retailers charge tax on the full price when the item is on sale. In my case. I only got cheated by $2.80 which is not that significant for me to cry about but it's the principal of it. Imagine if I purchased something very expensive like refrigerator or tv or washer and dryer, the difference in the tax amount could be a lot more if you happen to return the merchandise. I've already filed a formal complaint with the **********************************. People should be aware of their unlawful practices. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I truly regret my decision to become a member of this establishment. I will not renew my membership even if they offered me for free. Doing business so awful like this no wonder they could never compete with ******.Review fromMabel S

1 star******** experience at this store. While we were at the self check out we went to scan a pack of chips and a clerk approached us to explain we were entitled to get another pack because it was a 2x1 deal. My child said if he could go to get the other pack but the lady said not needed to go back because we could do it at exit where they had some shelves. We followed her directions. After paying and before the exit, my son took the pack as instructed and placed it in the cart and I handed over the receipt to a female clerk. As she was counting the items, a male clerk comes over and asks my child if he had paid for the pack he had just put inside the cart. I found his question disrespectful and I asked for the store manager to file a complaint. This guy had no business asking questions to a minor when im the responsible parent onsite and the door clerk already had the receipt and he could had easily checked that the item was paid for. The store manager statement was that the guy was an old person like this is an excuse to act wrong. We Never received an apology, and we spent over $200 at a store where they dont value us as customers. I will never again spend at this Bj a single dollar out of my hard earned money.Review fromKaren D

2 starsWent to BJs today and I had my coupons clipped in the app. While I was shopping I bought several things that had sale price reductions saying to clip the coupon which I had done. A couple had sale prices listed like the focus factor I bought said $19.99. After i checked out and got home I realized that several of my coupons amounts did not come off and several of the advertised sale items rang up at regular price. ***.. now I have to call the store and see if they can fix it as we l live an hour and a half from the store. Not a happy camper. ??Review fromJoe G

1 starThey are false advertising, they sold me a jugs of water. On the ***** tag it said it was $3.99 per jug, so I grabbed 2, due to their lines I had to use self check out. Never did anywhere on the tag did they state a charge of 5 dollars will be added. They need to fix their signs. I was forced to pay just under $20 for 2 gallons of water, at that point I'm just gonna start refilling these myself with water bottles and I will still have more water than I got for these 2 jugs. They are scamming ppl.Review fromSocorro D

1 starThey haven't "hired" anyone in the tire **** last time I was there **** that position was empty for months, The manager there (G.H) ONLY cares on the "presentation" of how his store appears & the friends he employs,..Peel the layers away, Check eveything.. As an employee,, check the hours on your check, make sure its the same as the hours you worked,, If HR ***** is still employed, Most likely, Your hour's have been illegally edited by either her or ****** You will get bombarded with profanity by his friend/ the overnight manager (That's the ideal first inpression).. Rats, & Mices were thr norm sight, This manager will tell u this club is a pest control site.. Check the dates of the food that your buying, zero attention to details goes into effect at this specific club under the management of ********** Overnight Manager. You should see how they receive the dairy & store it... dairy products at times store in the raw meat freezers due to lack of rotating, lack of attention of details..Get rid of Gene, ***************** this place might improve,, If you want to get cussed out, your hours illegally edited, He has a friend that's been stealing lobster/shrimp FOR years, only keeps his friends around.. the ones that are stealing, sleeping their shift, & that other one who shows up at 1am drunk... but np, his Manager can turn it around... **** is there ONLY to impress his regional director, get rid of this clown, & pawnsReview fromJacquelyn M

2 starsSo, this really upset me and I will not order from them again online. It took me 2 hours to make a list for $600 worth of food place the order and they gave me all the emails stating that they will be here and when the Shoppers shopping and the substitutions and we sat here and waited because it was supposed to be in a 2-hour range and then I got an email stating that they are on their way and after 30 minutes, I had to call BJ's and he turned around and he said that the woman came in and shopped for the food and then told BJ's that she's canceling the order and left. She is not delivering it. Nobody contacted us, I had to call them, they said, call doordash and complain to them because I wanted the name of the woman because somebody had a right to contact me to let me know. I understand emergencies happen, but to not contact a customer is very bad business, so I called doordash, they did not have the account number. I called ********************** back and they said oh it was instacart. I called instacart, they did not have the order number. I had to call BJ's back to refund the money and I wanted to file a complaint because I spent 3 hours trying to get the food here and then dealing with it afterwards so then he told me to call the main office because BJ's is not responsible if somebody cancels the order and he said that it happens frequently. What kind of business does not let their customers know if in order has been canceled and sends an email stating that is on its way??That's bad business and then says they're not responsible. That women from instacart will probably do it to someone else. Because there is no one taking responsibility for it. She should be reprimanded to treat customers with respect, all they had to do was contact us to let us know the order will not be delivered. VERY BAD BUSINESS SET UP. CHANGE YOUR RULES!Review fromMilly R.

2 starsMy daughter-in-law is the primary holder for the BJs card, I am secondary. On January 2, 2025 BJs credit my personal credit card for renewal of the membership card of $63.98. I never gave them permission to use my card to renew the membership..my daughter-in-law is the primary. I did call BJs and I told them that they were stealing from my funds. They apologize and advise me they would return my money. I advise them to keep the membership active, that way my daughter-in-law is able to use it. But I did inform them they are not to ever use my card to renew a membership or anything else unless they have my permission. I imagine if they did it to me how many other people they can do this too. My biggest concern was that I wouldve had an overdraft due to BJs taking money out of my funds without my permission. I try to get in contact with BJs corporate office, but to know ********** regards ***** *****Review fromBarbara E

1 starWent online to sign up for the $40.00 membership. Entered promotion code I was given on flyer at checkout. Screen changed and I was signed up. Never showed me what I was charged turns out it was $127.00. Called to ask fur a refund immediately and told I would have to wait 4-6 weeks because the website had a problem with my promotional code. Very upset they have my money tied up and I have nothing in return! Money should have be returned immediately! They have no write holding onto my money.Review fromJohn P

1 starHorribly corrupt travel service. When you book online, you have no idea you are really booking through Priceline. And, after problems occur, neither BJ's or Priceline will help. As a matter of fact, when you call BJ's Travel, you get Priceline. Usually they will make you go through barrage of verifications, then tell you they will give you a call back in, 3 or more hours. And, if they do call back, they will tell you each part of your trip (All Flights, Car, Hotel), all need to be handled by different departments. They will also tell you certain airlines must be called direct. They will put you on hold a dozen times, then disconnect you. After hours on 8 different calls, they tell you you might get a refund. In my case, my original AA flight was cancelled, and neither AA or Priceline will help get you another flight, obviously destroying your whole trip. I called BJ's who made me wait for a call back, then disconnected me. I called again and was told they would give me a call back in 2 + hours. So, without a flight, I headed back home (also losing $90- for the useless round trip shuttle. When they did call, they told me they would take care of AA flight refund, but then rerouted me to hotel / car department. Of course, they disconnected me again. I called back and received 3 hour and 34 minute call back. They called in less than that, while I was not near phone. I called again, was told another call back in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Never received that one, now past midnight. Hotel and car will not allow you to cancel, only Priceline can do that. Same with ************. Of course, hotel and car went past checkin times, and Priceline never answered my call, so money lost on both. Frontier has no live person, and their online cancellation system won't allow you to cancel. In other words, might get a refund from American Air, won't get refunds from others.
