We hired NE Total Basement Finishing in June 2022 with start date of October 2022. Our signed contracted demonstrated one 15% deposit of $6,361.20 which was charged to our credit card on 6/23/22. A second payment of $6,361.20 was charged to our credit card on 8/22/22. On 10/4/22 we were notified the basement project would start 10/6/22 and a $14,482.00 payment for the start of the project was charged to our credit card. On 10/5/22 we received a phone call from the owner ***** stating there was a family emergency and the contractor would not be able to start that day. No further information or future date was give nor were we refunded. We attempted to follow up with ***** many times. On 1/4/23, ***** stated the contractor would begin on 1/6/23 between 9-9:30am. At 9:09am on 1/6/23, I received a text from ***** stating there was another delay but the contractor would definitely be there on Wednesday. On 1/11/23, the contractor arrived at 9:30pm and began framing until 1pm. He returned again for 45min the following day. On 1/12/23, ***** charged $4000 to our credit card without authorization. Multiple attempts were made to speak to ***** regarding this with zero call back or explanation. On 1/18/23, the contractor returned from approx 9:30am-1pm and completed framing. ***** reported the electrician would arrive on 1/21 or 1/28. To date, $31, ****** (****% of our total payment) has been charged to our credit card in which only the framing has been done and the electrician has not yet come to the house. We have made multiple requests for an invoice/statement of payments demonstrating the percentages she is basing these deposits off of which still has not been provided. The website is now closed from access, there has been no further updates from ***** despite attempts to reach her. At this point the only resolution we are seeking is a refund of the money we have paid towards the project that has not been completed and which appears to have no end date in sight.

We had a salesman from this company, ***************************, come in to estimate a basement refinishing project. He emailed a proposal to us on 12/6/2022. We verbally agreed to the proposal with the owner, *****, who gave us a $1,000 discount by signing that same week. We have never formally signed and submitted the contract but were complying with their payment schedule. We paid 30 percent ($15,468 on 12/9/2022) of the total cost quoted of $51,561. ******* returned with the ********************* to do a measurement on 1-10-2023 and we paid another $7,884. We received a call from ***** on Jan. 27th that work would be beginning on January 31st. On ****. 30th, she asked to run our credit card for the Payment on Start amount of $14,104. On the 30th, my husband texted ***** to confirm the start of work for the 31st. ***** returned the text saying *** was sick and that work would begin on Feb. 1. On Jan. 31, ***** texted my husband that *** was out sick again and they needed to rearrange the schedule and would be in touch on Feb. 1 to let us know the updated start date. My husband texted ***** on Feb. 2 as we had no communication from her. She responded that she was out with ********* and that work would definitely begin the following Tuesday or Wednesday, Feb. 7 or 8. On Feb. 7, my husband texted ***** again for an update. She responded that *** was still running behind and she was aiming for a Friday, Feb. 10 start. We heard nothing. His final text to her was on Feb. 14th and she never responded. I left a phone message on Feb. 15th asking to speak with her immediately, and got no response. We have heard nothing from her since. My husband did reach out to the salesperson, ***************************, who did call him on Feb. 16th to say that the *********** ****** would be taking over the project and that we would be hearing from them. Not hearing anything, my husband texted ******* on Feb. 23 for an update. He gave us the ******** ** ****** to contact which I have done today 2/24.
