Back in October 2023 I purchased solar from Second Generation Energy (SGE) in *******, **. My warranty and contract is with them and the subcontracted installers destroyed my roof on my home that is only 3 years old. They caused leaks into the attic and into my daughters bedroom. They failed initial inspections of the system and had to remove and move brackets, leaving holes in my roof that they only filled with caulking. The evidence of liability is overwhelming and multiple roofers has indicated that replacement of the roof is the best Option. The company and the subcontracted people liability insurance only want to pay me for replacement of individual shingles and shotty repairs that my roofer advised against. They have been giving me the run around since October and I am at my last straw with them. I want them to pay for replacement of the roof wherever I have solar installed, removal and reinstall of the solar, and my daughters ceiling. I've consulted lawyers and all them have no problem helping because this is cut and dry however I am trying to avoid that because I should not have to pay for a lawyer when these people damaged my home. They claim they want to do the right thing and care about their company name but their actions are screaming the opposite. Essentially I have had multiple experts say to replace is better due to how long it was leaking and they are only willing to fix individual shingles. And my roofer has said that it is not the right way to do it. Please help me. I have more attachments and photo proof but it wont let me attach them.
