    I visited the Anchor Animal Hospital with my cat ***** on 7/6/2021. I learned she has a thyroid problem from the bloodwork that was done. At that time they also charged me for a urine and a ***** specimen that they were unable to obtain. They sent me home with supplies. I did question them about this and thought it not right to already charge for something they did not obtain. The next day I sent my boyfriend with my cat and the paperwork (**** receipt) to have them collect the specimen. ***** has a chip in her if they question who this cat really is. They told him he needed to make an appointment for them to collect the samples. I never made an appointment or collected the samples. On November 26,2021 I asked that it be taken off my **** since it was never collected. I was told that I was supposed to have collected because the lab Idexx sets the prices for the profile and they cant take it off the ****. I asked to speak to the office manager. She told me that they dont set the prices the lab does. I said the lab sets that price with a ***** and a urine included. If I brought my cat in for just those test they would find a price to charge me. I view it as fraud because they never collected the specimens and charged for them ahead of time. It is in red on my **** because that is how they know it was never a collected specimen. What I wanted to avoid was being charged again for a specimen that was not obtained or collected by them. Where the test was not performed I thought I should be credited or not charged until the specimen is submitted. If it was a medical practice on people and the specimen was not obtained -it would be considered fraud to **** it out ahead of time. I thought the charge should be removed. The office manager told me if I was not happy she would gather my chart so I could seek treatment for my cat elsewhere. That does not resolve my problem. At the very least I thought they should have charged for a lesser panel.
