  I should have came here first before going with Tingley Home Services. The initial reason for electrician was to check the electrical meter and to ensure it's secured to the house per Natiinal Grid. Their estimate to service the meter and electrical panel came up to about 5 thousand dollars based on speculation that it wasn't up to code. Decided to just deal with the light fixtures. Although the electrician did a good job, it cost $908 including the trip charge to install 1 ceiling light fixture, which part of the job was already done because we removed the old fixture. Then 1 ceiling light fixture with a fan that didn't need to be assembled. To compare, I was able to find someone to replace 4 other light fixtures for quarter of the price that Tingley charges.

  Similar operating procedure as ******** below. They quoted $99 to come and service my generator. When they showed up, they said it would be over $400 to service and address any deficiency to find. After my protest, they said they would do the service, but would not address any issues if any. After service, they claimed my generator was not putting up the right voltage. I told them not to bother and leave. Later, I found they had measured the wrong wires. Given that I could check the voltage using a multi-meter and could read a wiring diagram, I was able to prove that there was nothing actually wrong, and the tech was spouting nonsense. This would have been a costly repair for anybody not knowledgeable about electrical work. Buyer beware of their diagnosis and recommendations.

  Hi ******, 

  I am sorry to hear that you didn't feel that we provided you a fair service. Our factory certified technician came out to your home and spent two hours maintaining your generator. This service included changing the oil and oil filter, replacing the air filter, checking the gas pressure and checking the output voltage of your system. we did this all for no charge due to a miscommunication on our end. I'm not sure why a 1 star review would be given for this. I do have photos of the improper voltage in our system and can verify there is in fact a malfunction somewhere in the system that someone will need to resolve in the future.

  Highway robbery. Do your research on this company and make sure to push the person on the phone to tell you how much it will cost to learn what the problem is and get a quote. They tell you its $89 for the techs to come out but what they do not spell out for you is that once they are in your home they explain that to look and tell you what the problem is it costs $400 (on top of $89). Youre in $500 deep before you even know what might be going on. I said yes because Im not knowledgeable about electrical work and I was already in $89 and they were standing in my house. This is 100% what they count on happening. Their responses to reviews like this is shallow - they defend a bait and switch as there is integrity to it.
