I would love to give more stars but when you take a loyal employee who has not only given 100% at all times, but also changed time off multiple times to put the companies needs first and then you hire a new manager of the department who not only does NOT know how to manage a team, but doesn't care enough to get to know their work style or anything personal about them and then fires them from the company for no good reason then the company is not heading in the right direction. For a company who spouts fairness and putting associates first, that certainly wasn't the case here. Trust me, the position I was in I have seen multiple wrong doings in many communities and those people still have their jobs. I also seen someone make the same mistake as I did and they still have their job. I guess a company would rather have inept associates then someone who has been loyal, is self aware, has successfully run 4 separate departments and takes steps to fix an issue and get more education when and if needed. I have also seen how the company is severely understaffed in most communities where it matters the most, but they keep hiring incorrectly and if you show up and are not completely crazy they hire you, mostly resulting in turnover (Benchmark has a lot of turnover) because they do not hire right. Now in regards to customers wanting to put their loved ones in an Assisted Living Facility I can honestly say its not 100% about the company, but its about the people who work in that community. Most employees run within the circle of assisted living and as long as you know they have good front line employees and that the supervisors are caring and quick to address concerns then you have a good place.

Entirely, 100% unprofessional.First the process. (1) Send us your resume! (2) Now, tell us succinctly everything that was on that resume and (3) When you show up for the interview, they hand you a bunch of pages on which you should put your contact info, your education and employment history, your references, and oh yeah the "we won't use this info for hiring purposes' page. So I had to give them all of my info THREE times. ((The hiring 'manager' said they never get that info., that's another story))I applied on Sunday. On Monday, they contacted me and told me to interview sometime Wednesday. I got a message on Tuesday reminding me. I got one Wednesday morning, reminding me, Then I got one 2 hours before the interview, asking me to confirm. I got to the interview on time.First warning: I m told a certain manager normally does this but he's not in today(?!) so some subordinate is going to interview me. Wait no, they offered the position to someone else, YESTERDAY.. So I confirmed my presence, was warned 3 times and confirmed, I spent gas and I WAITED a half-hour in the lobby past my 'be here or else' time and there is no more job! Soem thing you could have called to tell me yesterday!Who in their right minds decides to giver as position when there are still people to interview? I not only didn't get the job, but I'm out the cost of gas. I spent 90 minutes driving and sitting on my rear end and spent over $7 in gas for a 1-minute rejection they could have just spent 20 seconds on a phone call for?!?!?!
