On 08/18 I had ordered a cake to be delivered to my friend. The website said delivery time was between 12:30Pm and 4:00PM clearly. I was expecting a phone call from my friend which was expected since it was a surprise. When I didn't get the call, I called the store. The first person who answered said the the delivery will be at 7:00PM and the delivery window on the meant that was when the cake would be leaving the store. She then put the owner on the phone, she said she was short handed and she had over a 100cakes to get to and will get to mine when she could. I said no phone call no email about a delay. I told her that was not acceptable as my friend had plans for her 40th. She then said there was nothing she could do. I called my friend just to see if there would be anyone home and she said they were all on their way to dinner and no one was home. I called the store that I would pick up the cake myself as it didn't make any sense to leave the cake at the door in the hot weather. She said someone was about to walk out the door (5:10PM) with the order. I said there will be no one home and was forced to pick it up myself. I had also ordered balloons to go with the cake. When I got to the store, she handed me the cake. I asked about the balloons that was when she looked at the receipt and wanted me to wait for her to start blowing the balloons. So I said but I was told someone was walking out the door with the order, so the balloons should have been ready. I told her I couldn't wait as I was in a hurry. I told her to refund the delivery which she had agreed to on the phone and to refund the balloons. Followed up with a call on Monday and she said she just processed the refund and it will take a few days. I never got the refund. I called today and she said she would not be refunding the anything. No one should be treated that way. She didn't provide the service and now trying to steal from me and failing to refund me for the balloon($15 plus tax and delivery fee ($30)
