Jet-Development was hired by me to repair an old 12 foot by 12 foot (approx.) section of my deck. Their contract states they would add 2" X 6" supporting beam, and all new pressure-treated deck boards. Not only was the beam NOT supported, but this company used MY old deck boards instead of new ones-they just turned my old boards upside-down! Today, the entire section they supposedly "fixed" has an 8 inch bow in the middle, and is threatening to collapse. The railings they "fixed" are off by more than 10", and the entire deck is virtually unusable!I have many pictures of this poorly done repair, and warn others using Jet-Development. BEWARE!

My position on this issue is as follows

The main support beam in that spot has completely rotted an collapsed, I apprised you of this when I came to see you, you seemed to imply that this was now somehow my responsibility which it is not. You're deck is well beyond it's reasonable life expectancy, probably more than forty years old. We did what we agreed to do at the time which was almost 7 years ago, when we do a repair to a worn out deck we do not imply any warranty, and as well we don't take responsibility for any future decay or such to the deck. As far as your allegations of impropriety, they are offensive and untrue. We replaced the deck boards we agreed to, we had to remove additional boards to add the sistering of the joists, when we reinstalled those boards we turned them over. The railings are going down with the collapsing deck. You need to have the support beam replaced, unfortunately  we no longer repair decks based on the fact that when we performed a 700 dollar repair ie yours, people then would expect us to own the deck forever, ie you.

    Thank you
