My cost for my medication increased 500%, for the last 3months of 2024. I called them in November of 2024 asking why it was there such a great increase. I was told it was what I believed was named flex spending that would end in 2024 and the following year that would go away and my medication would go back down to the original $42. So at the beginning of January 2025 I went to pick up my medication And I found it had increased even more. On January 3rd I called devoted health they told me that I had a $590 deductible once its met the cost for the rest of the year would be $104. On today January 13th I get a call from devoted health And they told me my deductible is $2000 Every time I call them with a cost question, they tell me something different.Review from R. P.

**** STAY AWAY *****I am a senior citizen. I'm afraid Devoted Health is trying to pull a fast one on me. 1) Last year, 2024, I had two doctor office visits were I was administered medication, 2) I had two eye surgeries. The first ******** office visit was in around March 29th, the second was about the beginning of July. Update: this is a medication I received in 2023 without a problem.Once I decided to change plans in November, Devoted not to pay portions of my in network approved surgeries, and a portion of medication I received as an injection at the ************ In a conversation with an agent from Devoted, I was told the medication was tier 2 or 3. And that there is an 80/20 split. First I can understand when you receive medication from the pharmacy, there is an additional cost. But I've never heard of such a thing for a **** visit. Following there logic, any meds received during an operation can have the same charge backs. I would encourage anyone thinking about joining Devoted Health to truly reconsider. I do not think this is a fair practice.Devoted Health, Inc. Response

AWFUL! Receptionist is rude and unprofessional. Told her my son needed a refill because my dog got into his pills. She told me he had to be seen again before doing so. I explained that was fine but if they could send a few pills over to the pharmacy until the appointment happens to keep him from withdrawing. She said well no that's not how it works. I explained that IS how it works and she said sorry that's your problem. You should have known he was out and scheduled an appt. UMMMM How do I know my dog was going to eat his medication lady!! Arent they supposed to HELP people? I explained the situation again, in which she replied parents should be responsible for scheduling their childs appt before their medication runs out. Wowwwww. PLEASE hire competent individuals in healthcare. This is a childs health we are talking about. Look at the reviews on this place and stay away. I should have!Devoted Health, Inc. Response

Devoted has misled us in a problem with covering a cataract surgery. At first they said that the surgeon's place of the surgery was not in network. Then after looking at the Devoted web site we saw that it was in network. After talking them again they stumbled around and said "I see that Devoted is network." Then they laid blame on the Doctor and said the doctor had not given the right information. After talking with the doctor they had definitely covered their bases with all the paperwork Devoted wanted. After several phone calls and talking with supervisors, etc, the last person said we "should go to another insurance company. We don't want to loose customers but maybe another company will be better for you." This is the third time Devoted has not wanted to pay for a claim which was in their network.Review from scott l

While it sounds promising, it's not. Once you sign up, forget everything the agent told you, They lie. They will deny claims and use every trick in the book to create stress in your life. You'll end up paying thousands out of pocket and then forget trying to get reimbursed, they deny them all. They also can create a rift between you and your ** by playing these games. They claim that the Drs should reimburse you if you can believe that. It's insanity, bad business practice and should be illegal. They look to take advantage of people by offering a few hundred dollars here and there to BUY your ******** plan, then you get screwed. I can tell you first hand, IF you have chronic health issues and go to a ** more than most people, AVOID DEVOTED. DO NOT TRUST A THING THEY TELL YOU.Devoted Health, Inc. Response

Poorly trained and poorly educated employees give incorrect and/or incomplete information when asked about benefits and costs. They also appear to work from home, and domestic noise (loud TV, babies crying, people talking loudly in the background) often make it difficult to hold a conversation. There are lots of promised benefits, but seemingly even more loopholes to prevent insured people from receiving those benefits. Employees don't understand the problems and limitations imposed by severe illnesses and serious surgery. I was asked - by a supervisor - to go and get a pencil while recovering from open heart surgery for a quadruple bypass, as though getting up and walking to the nurses' station were as simple and easy for me as it would have been for her.I can change my insurance this fall, and will never have to deal with Devoted (to profits and stockholders) ever again. Don't believe the advertising hype - Devoted only cares about their own bottom line, and the promised benefits are largely impossible to claim.Devoted Health, Inc. Response

Our experience with Devoted Giveback **************** Advantage Plan has been excellent. All our physician's are covered. Even though we had an issue where our PCP, an RN, wasn't directly covered, thus we had a co-pay, it got resolved by the practitioner's office. All contacts with Devoted have been prompt, pleasant, professional and genuinely friendly. I was with UnitedHealthcare MA for 13 years and it became obvious and frustrating dealing with an entity that is too big to be effective with patients. Prior to last year, I had no knowledge of Devoted, but when I saw the breadth of its benefits and that all our providers were covered I, with my wife, decided to sign with them. We figured a much smaller company would provide better customer service. It has. We hope the company stays competitive and becomes profitable to give us the opportunity to use them next year and beyond.Devoted Health, Inc. Response

Devoted has become the worst insurance I have ever had. This will be my las year with the network. The doctors in this network seam to be so busy they can't keep appointments. They feel I have to change my appoint for their convivence. I have been on testosterone for over 5 years and now it seems I can't get a refill. I call made an appointment for tomorrow. I did my blood workup last week and now I'm told that they don't have the results. When you call this facility you are lucky to get an answer. I attem[*** 4 time today before the answered the phone.Devoted Health, Inc. Response

******************Let me first start by saying I am an Insurance Coordinator for a ************* in ****. The Doctor's in the office went out of network with Delta Dental PPO, due to Devoted Health. We stayed in network with Delta Dental Premier. Devoted Health, in my opinion, is the worst Healthcare Insurance for patients. The Representative's flat out LIE to people when asking if the Doctor's are in the network with the plans with Devoted Health. I have had several patient's that chose Devoted Health and specifically asked by names, if our Doctor's was in their network and they would tell them yes. I have even contacted Delta Dental (Devoted Health) and tried to speak with them and they couldn't even speak the truth with me. I contacted them in the beginning of this year when I had our first patient come in with a Devoted Health card. The patient stated that Devoted Health told her we were in network with them. I spoke with a Representative from Delta Dental (Devoted Health) and the Representative stated that our office is not a PPO or *************** so the patient could not come to our office. I stated Our office is Premier and they argued with me about the issue. They practically hung up the phone on me. My next step is to write a complaint letter to the *************** of ********** Devoted Health SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO BE A COMPANY THAT OFFERS INSURANCE. They are misleading and misinforming people!!!Review from Elizabeth D

Make sure you check with the doctor's ****** first before your visit or any major issue you have & ask if they are contracted with Devoted Insurance. The doctor & the facility I visited were both listed as being in Devoted's network. However, I was told by the surgery coordinator/scheduler that even though Devoted was listed, Prisma was not contracted with Devoted, therefore my surgery would have to be paid out of pocket. I reached out to Devoted & was told that didn't sound right & to have her contact them directly. So, I called the ************* & asked her to call Devoted & the surgery scheduler told me she was just being honest & upfront with me because she didn't want me to end up with a huge bill that I would be responsible for paying like another one of their patients who insisted on going through with his surgery after being told by Devoted it would be covered & it was not. I asked why they were listed as being in network then & was told it was Devoted's responsibility to remove themselves from the list. I am still confused & to make matters worse, my insurance agent who signed me up for this plan will not return my phone calls.
