This place is lovely, and has been a great oasis during my mom's many hospitalizations over the past 18 months. It's been amazing and convenient to be able to stay in luxury _directly_ across the street from *****************. The outer and inner doors all have key codes assigned, so I can come and go as needed without waking anyone to let me in. The decor ranges from classy to comfortably campy, depending on the space. I have stayed in almost all the rooms, and have found them all to be clean and comfortable to be in. I am extremely allergic to mold and dust, and have been impressed to find that all of the rooms have been allergen-free, even when they've had lots of rugs and lush cloth decorations. No room has ever smelled musty or unclean, and every space has always been immaculately cleaned. Many of the rooms have felt almost embarrassingly spacious for one or two occupants. The one room which is on the small side is extremely well-designed, to the point where I didn't feel at all claustrophobic staying there with my partner, our 50-lb mutt, and all of our stuff. Breakfast is always decadent and yummy. The manager has consistently responded to all communications, and whenever possible she has gone above and beyond to accommodate my special requests. She has been especially kind and understanding when these requests have been related to caring for my sick mom. It makes me sad to see some of the things other people have said in reviews here, especially since the complaints seem so far removed from the reality of what I've observed and experienced at Naomi's Inn. I would heartily recommend staying at Naomi's when in the area, whether it's for a vacation or to be near a sick loved one.

I feel disrespected and deceived! 1. Was quoted on Friday the price of $117 per night for Saturday and Sunday then charged a higher rate because it was Saturday. I asked Friday if she honored AARP and she said quote, oh you're one of those people. We have the lowest price in town of $117 per night. She gave me a $48 reimbursement after I inquired on Saturday. 2. Pictures of rooms are deceiving. She said some of the websites have old pictures. The websites are all deceiving! 3. Lack of air-conditioning! Air-conditioning was set at 74 degrees and the thermostat temperature read 78 degrees. We used both ceiling fans trying to cool our room down. Other guests complained of the same thing, no A/C. Marci said previous guests had closed the air vents in the rooms. Marci should have taken care of this problem before we arrived. I went back to our room on my hands and knees opening all of the air vents. Only one vent was open. She turned the temperature down to 68 degrees for the entire first floor which lasted an hour or so, then shut off. We saw the thermostat was set to 74 and it was 78. We notified Marci and she said the hallway needed to be at 74. She didn't tell us that at breakfast. We told her it was 78 and she said someone would take care of it. We stayed until 9-9:30pm and nobody came to change the thermostat. Other guests complained about the lack of air-conditioning and left as we did instead of sleeping in a hot room all night. 4. Breakfast? At a B&B? We were given a whipped egg white and our choices were: with or without tomatoes and spinach. 5. Owner took over conversations between guests at Breakfast speaking poorly of former guests. 6. Many trip hazards: Rooma charging right where patrons are pouring hot coffee. Underneath bed, a huge wooden platform sticking out! Bedframe stuffed with comforter and pillows as the mattress is too small! Bathroom shower, no handle to exit, no soap in dispensers. Soap in glass unsecured containers on the outside of tub!

BEWARE! This place is a dirty dump. The kitchen, when we first came in, was less than inviting with junk all over, including all over the table. We were wondering where the breakfast would be served. There would have been no breakfast had we stayed as the government stopped her food service. From *****'s web "GOV. ***** HAS GIVEN US THE GREENLIGHT FOR BREAKFAST AGAIN!The furnishings appear to be from the thrift store and in very poor condition, thoroughly used and filthy with stains. We would not even put our luggage on the furniture because it was so dirty. The linens (bed and bath) are grey in color, therefore, never bleached and looked dirty. Disgusting! The shower soaps were cheap bottles from the dollar store with the discount labels still on them. ***** said she "puts good soap in those bottles!!" The bath door would not close and continuously fell open due to misalignment so ***** had installed a door stop! While the house is old and could be such a nice B&B there's a mishmash of historic mixed with much newer cheap materials that are not indicative of historic or nice. The place next door is where ***** lives. That place looked like a slum house with trash everywhere and a huge pile of trash in the back that was there for your "viewing pleasure!" when you park. Since our car was the only one around we asked and found that we were the only people in the place which told us we did not get the memo!We arrived around 8pm and were to stay 2 nights. We didn't stay. We located a local hotel within 15 minutes and were out of there. ***** was a treat to deal with until we were unsatisfied with her place then she behaved like a person who lives in the slum next door.. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!

When people are this OBTUSE...  Pity is the only feeling you can have for people this unfortunate.  Things like slander are not beneath them which is why on this public forum we must respond...

Covid food restrictions were lifted in ************* not too long ago.  Businesses were not allowed to serve non packaged food for a long while.  These people are not the research and make a decision type and it shows.  We don't claim to be 'historic' our merchandise says 'Not your Grandma's BnB' on it.  We have a Wizard of Oz mural in one common area and ***** in Wonderland art in another.  *********** is a place where the ****************************** and *********************** exist.  We cater to families and people with an inner child.  These 2 unfortunately don't seem to have one.

Our Inn runs the gamut of having a Kinda Cape room which is Beach Themed... to a Gamma Green room which is inspired by our favorite Avenger... The Incredible Hulk. It also possesses a simulated **************** Cichlid Fish Tank which breeds fish.  Do these things say 'Historic' to you?  We are FUN, not historic.

A lot of guests who stayed in their exact room have left glowing reviews after their stay.  Antique furniture that is used day in and day out needs oil, polish and reupholstering to stay usable.  We have done these things.

The final straw with all of this was that they left without asking a single question.  Apparently construction material such as wood, stone, tarps to cover for rain and things such as a wheelbarrow were deemed trash.

If you read this review and decide not to stay because this resonates with you... GREAT.  Would love to avoid another headache by obtusely minded people that can't process or understand basic communication.
